There are a ton of 'similarities between beelzebub and another manga, zatch bell. Both zatch and the baby have the same electrical powers, used exactly the same way. Both have very similar story backgrounds. It's more than just coincidence.

I'm not trying to consciously look for comparisons, It just sticks out like a sore thumb when I'm reading beelzebub particularly, Because it's just so blatant and poorly done.

I think what is so special about beelzebub, is the humour. It is a good start to attract reader. If the story development fare reasonably well, it should gather more reader.

Just started reading this manga(out of boredom), and it's gotta be one of the most funniest mangas out there.

I just don't see what's the hate about.

The manga should have had more focus in the demon world than spending over half the chapters fighting normal delinquent goons. That's the main beef I have with it.

edit: ch78 was really good with a cliffhanger ending.

Well it's only been 78 weekly chapters......if they rushed to the Demon World the manga will be over soon....

I do hope we get to see Angelica again.

I kinda feel that Hilda will get her ass kicked... than Oga appears and kinda protects her or takes the blow that was supposed to be for her...

than Oga might take Hilda home where he learns that the teacher is a demon... the same we might see Lamia again... as she will rush to her sister in need :P

Clearly you don't know Oga (>.>), but i agree that she'll be handed a beating. I hope to see something more than what was shown when she was fighting Aoi(even though i know Hilda's stronger)

^Dun remember, was too long ago. PJ is right saying that the story's nothing exceptional or original for that matter, but it is getting interesting right about now, which I find is a good bonus to the humour.

This may not need necessarily be the case. Aoi's father floored Oga in one blow as well, so it's possible that demonic powers won't be necessary anytime soon, if at all(at least for Aoi it won't =03).
