That said, I never actually expected that Yuuya's father might be IRG. Universe loves its ironies.

And then it'll turn out that Yui and Yuuya are half-siblings. Just you wait.

This is how it would go down: Yui's dad was actually a rebel genius kid, who was sent overseas for studying. As a "fuck you" to his domineering family, he falls in love with an American woman (Yuuya's mom), and the relationship spawns Yuuya. However, the Dad's parents are furious, and they somehow force him to break off/divorce Yuuya's mom, and marry a "proper" Japanese woman. Yuuya's mom accepts (for whatever psychological reason). Yuuya's dad is more pissed off, and he stays with his "new" wife only until she gets pregnant, and then leaves her for the work in IRG. When it turns out that Yui is, well, a girl, he laughs at his family elders (Probably saying something along the line "You never said that it had to be a son, just a child") and says that he won't sleep/touch his other wife anymore, leaving Takamura family with hard choice of either making a girl their inheritor, or accepting their true scion, Yuuya.

Now, in a true Kouki fashion, Yuuya and Yui's dad actually actively resents Yui, and avoids her at any opportunity, which is why he's seemingly never at home. Yui's uncle chooses to play a convenient "father figure" in his place, aware that his brother-in-law is irrationally blaming Yui for being dragged away from his true child.

Also, interesting discussion on WW2 IJA: It turns out that for all their talk about discipline and shit, while the IJA's enlisted followed orders, their junior officers, on the other hand, were full of shit and highly insubordinate fucks.

Huh.

Explains Fagiri, when you think of it. In the decades leading up to WW2, IJA JOs were running wild assassinating IJA officers and launching coups right left and center.

There are documented cases of siblings (and even parents and children) falling romantically in love, having been raised separately from each other/not having any knowledge of each other.

You can even go further: if that doesn't make Yuuya and Yui break off, Cryska might go mental, after some logic bombing ("B-but siblings shouldn't...!") and despairing that despite such a block, they still carry on. Now, add a little shove from our lovely comrade Sandek aaaaannnnddddddd....

Also, having the...pleasure, of actually studying pre WWII-Japan, yeah, that is something absolutely true in regards to IJA. In fact, Fagiri's coup is a complete rip-off to the February 26th Incident, right down to having First Regiment being the chief coup force (IRL it was the 1st Infantry Regiment "Jade", here we have the 1st Capitol Defense Squadron.)

Both coups also ended up killing a lot of previous Japanese administrations.

There are brief flashes in the PV that when viewd in sequence make it appear as though Yuuya is hitting an SDS button where the DANGER part is written in Russian (ОПАСНО). And we know how Northrock Grunnan has been collaborating with Sufoni behind the scenes, leading to their not!Flanker line.

Now this is assuming a lot - assuming Yuuya's hitting the button, assuming Yuuya's flying the mystery silhouette fighter, but it gives some grounds to speculate that it could be a Russian adaptation of the Black Widow II resulting from technology transfer from Northrock Grunnan which Yuuya proceeds to blow up.

Then again it appears to be loaded out with a Type-74 PB blade which it's not like the Russians carry. Who knows.

- Terrorism arc ends around halfway through the game.
- The story (of TE) will be complete.
- Ends at operation Ouka.
- Playable without the other games. (ML/MLA)
- He's not buying his house back.
- PC version depends on how well it sells on console.
- Chronicles 04 is being worked on.
- Yuuya is partially voiced.
