Just got into watching this anime and damn I can't believe I was missing out. This show is hilarious and what's great is that it's not afraid to go into more serious stuff which it pulls off surprisingly well.

This episode was quite fun too but I'm not so sure on Momou's character. I don't think I've ever seen a character that managed to make me loath him so much in under one minute, only to then reverse it and impress me with some exceptional character and then reverse that and turn him right back to someone I can only hate.

I still don't get it...who's the main character anyway?
Because all I see is everything ending up perfectly for Sakura and her getting more and more screentime while Momiji can't seem to catch a break.

I know about the whole Fortune and Misfortune thing but damn...I want more Momiji, she's such an awesome character as opposed to Sakura (Yes, I know its a biased opinion but even-though she's hothothot I just don't like her personality at all).

Don't get me wrong, this is still one of my favorite anime this season...the OP and ED alone keep me glued to the screen, which rarely happens (I swear, it's the only OP and ED I watch atleast twice after each episode).

Sakura Ichiko is and always has been the main character. She's the only one who uses the phrase "Binbougami ga!" episode in and episode out, after all.

As for episode 4, it was funnier that the last episode, but less touching. Can't say I like the Dog God, as I'm not that interested in M characters.

But I can't wait for the next episode. Chibi-Ichiko interacting with the Binbou Family? Awww yeah!

Yeah, Lance of Longinus, DBZ, and especially Mononoke Hime, as the last one is IMO by far and away the best movie Miyazaki has ever made.

I can think we can say that Chichiko is the female lead while Momiji is the male* lead.

Btw, there's actually 2 references to Evangelion. The bathtub lifting scene parodies the lifting of a destroyer by unit 2. Chichiko is damn strong!

O yes... one detail that I've missed initially: Momoh took a dump the moment he transformed to Chihuahua, which I only caught on when Kumagai picked up the litter.

This episode shows how lonely Ichiko is...
The only salvation she has is from Suwano's letters...

And i guess that Momiji's objective is slightly changed from sucking Ichiko's fortune to helping Ichiko...

a good point about this series its that the parodies are not as obscure(very oldschool) as in other comedies specially the ones made by shaft or kyoani.

This episode highlighted just how lonely Ichiko is deep down. Gotta say I felt sorry for her too.

There were also plenty of funny moments. The masochistic dog god was quite entertaining. My favorite part was Bobby entering Ichiko's bathroom armed with a camera. "Where's the pervert?" "You're the pervert!!"

Next week looks interesting. Tittyko will turn into Chibiko. Momoji will finally be able to compete with her in the breast department

Another good episode, wish I haven't read the manga to enjoy it more since it's following the manga very close.

Missed all Eva paraody and the purple hair girl.

I wouldn't call it soon. She doesn't join the main cast (or even appear) until several arcs later, but the anime is teasing us by giving her "Where's Waldo?" appearances.

If we are to look at what can be covered in 13 episodes, I feel as if that Nadeshiko won't make the cut in this season, which is why she gets her own Lucky Channel-esque segment.

We are at episode 4 now. Based on the pacing (without any need for spoiler), Sunrise will dedicate 2 episodes for Chibi-Ichiko, and a dedicated arc (2-3 episodes) for major support character introduction. Focus needs to go back to Momiji the lead, and existing secondary characters as well, which would really limit what space that can be spared for Nadeshiko.

Realistically, there's enough room to introduce 1 more character, but to fit Nadeshiko in as well would be pushing it, and given how Binbougami-ga is doing, I think that having this material for the future is more desirable. At best, there will also be a 1-episode segment for a character similar to Momoh/Bobby, but Nadeshiko would be a stretch. Granted, the more... 'filler-esque' materials can be moved to season 2 instead of having it fit into season 1, but I suspect that Sunrise would not rush it.

What a unique anime, it gives such a tease for her character.

i dont want that M to be the MC male. hopefully the other guy from the previous episode is gonna counter him or something.

and that purple haired girl, so i guess were not gonna find out until she actually joins the anime? its interesting how they mangage to introduce a character without actually introducing her.

He's not. If there has to be a male MC, it would be Tsuwabaki Keita, but even then he's not really in the spotlight that much. The stars will always be Ichiko and Momiji.

Well... you could say the anime cheated a little, since her intro arc hasn't come yet.
