I don't even know who this guy is, but he's a winner in my book.

I'd assumed that anyone in this sub-forum would know he is, but it seems I'm wrong.

Kishida Mel is the illustrator who provided the character designs for Hanasaku Iroha. He also provided the character designs for the Atelier video-game series, as well as for the currently screening Kamisama no Memochou.

Like many popular artists, his aesthetic style is instantly recognisable, especially when it comes to his drawings of girls. No wonder, then, that he is in fairly high demand in the Japanese anime/publishing/video-games industries.
