I see it as the epilogue not being in chronological order with the rest of the movie. Rather, it served to introduce the "new" character and a plot point for the next movie. It it were in the right place chronologically, it would have had less impact or had been forgotten because of the gap in movies.

Araya is dead, I'm betting the scenes of him in the 7th are there to round off the final moments of episode 2.

The 6th movie was centered on Azaka, so for that movie, she was the main lead.

I only got into this series this week... are the fansubs usually based on the theatrical release or the dvd release of the series?

I don't mind waiting half a year for the next one. I like how it takes over 2 years to complete the showing. Somehow, it makes it that much more memorable.

Tactics my ass, waiting so long before he finally uses "You can't see here lol" on her. But Shiki not bothering to use the simple countermeasure means he isn't the only idiot on the field, at least.
