Umineko no Naku Koro ni takes place in the year 1986, during the time frame of October 4 and October 5 on a secluded island named Rokkenjima. The head of a wealthy family named Kinzo Ushiromiya, who lives on and owns Rokkenjima, is near death, and eight of his family members arrive on the island to discuss how Kinzo's assets will be divided once he is dead. Also on the island are three family members who live there, five of Kinzo's servants, and his personal physician. After the eight family members arrive, a typhoon traps them on the island and shortly after people start to get mysteriously murdered. But yes "Turn of the Golden Witch" is over as far as the anime is concerned.

Another question, I've noticed that Beatrice has said a few times:
Spoiler for Red Text:
But she's never said that the culprit actually used a key for open/lock the doors. is this important? Also, is Lambdadelta somehow connected to Miyo?

As for 34 and Miyo... no not really. Pretty sure Ryukishi said they have no connection.

As for Lambdadelta you can imagine there is the same connection as in the case of Bernkastel (umineko) and Frederica Bernkastel (higurashi). Lambdadelta in fact is the greek numeral for "34".

OK, so you know how after each episode changes the portrait in the OP changes? Well, the next for Umineko from Episode 3 has a girl with blondeish hair in a purple dress holding a sceptar(SP?) with the Ushiromiya insignia on the end. My question is this: Is this Beato or Lambda? I ask because the hair is down and the person looks a little different from Beato.

In this kind of game you need to be very careful on how to interpret the red truth. The witch will use the red truth in a way that is convenient for her, you shouldn't fall for this trap. If Beatrice doesn't say something directly she will try to say it in an indirect way, but more often than not there's a trap behind it.
For example let's say you are assuming a murder happened on a certain time, the witch will tell you that at that time no one committed the murder. If you aren't well prepared you'll end up falling for the trick and believing in the witch, but when you get better at this game you will always find a way to counter. No one committed the murder at that time? Then the murder was committed at another time. No one committed the murder at any time? Then it wasn't a murder at all, it was an accident It wasn't an accident? Well then it was a suicide You can go on forever. There isn't any red truth that completely prove that the witch killed anyone, only a lot of red truths that if not handled carefully will make you think so.

This is wrong, there is no connection between Lambdadelta and Takano besides pure coincidence that they both have 34 in their names. |

Most people would just say Takano was her piece in Higurashi, though. |
