Ryan missed a chance --- when he said "we're going the wrong way" when things are getting better since 2008 and he admitted things were terrible in 2008.

Ryan should have said, "Things could be getting better faster." He's obviously very nervous sitting right next to Biden.

Nice snag with the Biden foot-in-mouth comparison.

Argh, the stimulus process was ALREADY in progress when Obama took office. He took advice from the same people who told Bush they had to do the stimulus. We can blame both parties for the greatest theft in America.

Also that Ryan and his mom wouldn't have made it as a teenager without Social Security death benefits.

Biden should really calm down. His emphatic nature is getting a little too much. There is still 45 minutes to go...

True... otoh... I see Ryan has pulled the "hurts small business" canard. Small businesses in my state have largely figured out the GOP's plans are anti-small business and pro-large corp.

And I see Radditz is going after Ryan's "blank paper" plan. And Biden sweeps in for the kill.

The good thing about living in Canada is that we can see the same parallel between Republicans and Canadian Conservatives in various policies. Both are doing mostly the same against small businesses.

I know he should calm down. But how else do you fight the crap that's being spewed? :P

I do wish he'd calm down a little so as not to risk coming off like a rude bully to underinformed voters. But it's understandable that he'd overcompensate for Obama's performance.

^ Now now, political debates aside, don't blame the poor stimulus!

To quote Glenn Greenwald:

Quote:
The converse of those who think Biden is too aggressive: Ryan seems extremely passive, overwhelmed, intimidated, and weak. Voters hate that
But yeah, I agree he's kinda overcompensating for last weeks "debate style" problems.

I'm ... having trouble following Ryan. His sentences aren't connecting any more. Ryan's world view is colliding with facts?

Radditz needs to control Biden more, if for no other reason than she and the debate will be accused of bipartisanship in favour of Biden (which will happen anyway, considering Ryan's Obamaesque performance, but Biden doesn't need to fuel the fire).

I can see it now, people being like: "Oh, Obama was too passive, Romney won the debate because he was bold and aggressive" and then "Wtf? Biden is a jerk! He was too bold and too aggressive!".

Yeah, Biden kind of pounded on Radditz for pulling "Some people in the military were against the surge timeline" when the JCoS created the timeline.

Ryan did a little better there with the fighting season but Ryan is telling me that he's really got no experience in military affairs at all. And... Biden just skewered him, ouch.

Some media will surely come out with the double standard for sure. Still, no one can't say it wasn't expected when Romney drew first blood.

I must say Biden just gave me good answers about why not entering in Syria yet. I really didn't take into account a number of elements when doing comparisons with Lybia.

It was just the way the question was worded. "Explain the importance of your faith in your policies," or something like that. But I guess it was a springboard to the abortion issue - though I'm not crazy about that being such a prominent one either.
