Seeing that guy trasformed in some kind of hybrid?
I know that male hybrids have been banned because they always ended up in failure, but it would be cool to see that boy saving her beloved Claire from a deadly situation!

Spoiler:
OH YES YOU CAN!
Of course, the little bugger's still human, but considering the events that transpired on to him following his separation with Claire, I'm not going to be surprised at that possibility.
Spoiler:
After all, vol.9/10 had him personally meeting one of the most powerful Awakened in the Claymore universe...on friendly terms. Of course, he doesn't know he's an Awakened. And that Awaken's lover (( also one )) seems mildly attached to him...
Hehehehehehe....

Spoiler:
Ah so the guy was shown after his separation from Claire?
I read the raws but I don't understand japanese so I only watched the panels and it was quite hard to understand the story. I only got that she was getting owned by the fourth claymore, then she got saved by another claymore (third?) and trained. Then she met again the fourth (awakened this time) claymore and Claire owned her. After that I lost track of the plot because the story is quite complex and I can't understand it by mere drawings, not to mention that most claymores look like each other so it's even more confusing!
Can you point me to a site with the summaries of each volume of claymore, especially volume 7,8,9,10 and 11?

I guess I can try to give you a mini summary since I'm kind of bored atm.
Spoiler for vol7 summary:
Clare told Raki that they had to go separate way but Raki refused. She kissed him and promised him that she wouldn't die and they will meet again. During the fight with Ofelia, it first appeared that Clare lost her arm and fell to her death, but in actual fact it was her plan to run away from the crazy Ofelia. However Ofelia was far from being fooled and found Clare near the lake. She told Clare that it would have been more believable if she had only forsaken her severed arm. The reason why Clare didn't was because of the nature of the offensive type and she could only reattached her body parts, not regenerating them like Deneve, a defensive type.
anyway back to the story, Ofelia didn't give Clare a chance to reattach the right arm and completely destroyed it. Clare tried to regenerate her arm but no success, only to be caught up by Ofelia. At the moment before Ofelia delivered the finishing blow, she was interrupted by someone who wielded a great sword at lighting speed. Clare recognized her to be the person who we once believed to be dead back in vol4... Irene, the ex-claymore #3 responsible for the assassination of Teresa.
Back at Irene's hiding place, Clare introduced herself and Irene remembered her to be the little girl who was following Teresa at that time. She explained how she managed to hide from the organization by depressing her yoma power and lived in a secluded area. She decided to teach Clare the light speed sword technique.
On the other hand, we have Ofelia losing control of her yoma power and became awoken.
Days past Clare learned the basic of the light speed sword technique, though Irene mentioned that she made a mistake teaching her this technique because the key was to remain calm and composed, and she once believed Clare was suitable but in actual fact deep inside Clare was quite hot-tempered. Irene also mentioned that Clare was only capable of using this technique for 1 minute and its power and speed were only a tenth of hers. Irene then chopped off the remaining section of Clare's arm (surely she could have told her beforehand) and her own arm, and gave it to Clare as a farewell present. Clare at first declined the offer but was later agreed to borrow the arm for now. After Clare left, Irene was discovered by Rafaela, the current claymore #5, who was sent to assassinate her. Irene made a mistake from using the light speed sword technique which resulted her releasing traces of yoma power.
As Clare was making her way in the forest, she came across Ofelia. At this point Ofelia still didn't realised she had became the awoken but she knew she really wanted to eat some meat, preferably internal organs. The fight continued and Ofelia found it strange that Clare had improved in terms of speed and power.
This volume ended with Ofelia discovered she had became awoken and mentioned that her brother was killed by a single horned yoma (could be Priscilla, IIRC she was also single horned).
Spoiler for vol8 summary:
This volume began with Clare having an upper hand over Ofelia. At some point she lost control of the sword and realized she had yet to fully control Irene’s arm. Ofelia noticed the arm’s issue and why Clare suddenly became more powerful after such short period of time. Ofelia teased Clare by transferring her only human parts to the tail and challenged Clare to reach her by destroying the rest of the yoma body. Clare accepted the challenge but Ofelia teased her further saying that Clare was stubborn and all she had to do attack the tail where the human part was. All these reminded Ofelia of her brother who died protecting her. At some point Ofelia encouraged Clare to carry on and she wondered to herself why she did it. Having destroyed the rest of the yoma body and reached Ofelia, Ofelia urged Clare to hurry up and kill her before she regenerated, and Clare did. (the dead Ofelia with her hair down is kind of cute imo).
At the organization, they are discussing how Clare had gone missing for 3 months. The bodies of the awoken(mission) and awoken Ofelia were found but they believed it would be impossible for a #47 to defeat them all on her own. However they mentioned how Clare was a special case mixed with Teresa’s remains, and they believed there were still unknown factors regarding #47.
Here we have Clare disguised herself as a normal swordman, by dressing like one and taking those pills that suppressed yoma power, whilst searching for Raki. At the inn, the inn keeper mentioned that there was a group of 4 claymores currently at town and Clare wondered if it could be an awoken they were after.
Next day, Clare continued her search for Raki, and this couple caught her attention by mentioning the name of the twin goddess statue - ‘Teresa and Clare’. The woman mentioned there was an injured guy she met who held great interest in the goddess Clare. Clare asked if they know about his whereabouts but unfortunately they didn’t. Clare mentioned how he was a very important person to her and she promised to meet again.
A severely wounded claymore arrived at town and requested for assistance from the organization. She died shortly after. Although Clare was trying to hide from the organization, she could not abandon her comrades. Clare declared herself claymore #47 and made her way to the ruin.
Some yoma ass whooping by Clare and we switched to 2 captured claymores being tortured by Daf and Riful, both awoken. Their aim was to force the claymores to become awoken and they succeeded with one. However she was found to be too weak so she got minced by Daf.
Clare arrived and she was greeted by a few yoma and eventually Daf. Clare was thought to be weak at first because of her low yoma power, but Riful was surprised that Clare was better than she thought. Clare used the light speed sword technique on Daf but she was shocked that it was ineffective. Again in the crucial moment a new claymore arrived, Galatea, claymore #3, who was given the mission to bring Clare back to the organization. Galatea easily overcame Daf since Daf was unable to hit her. Riful appeared and suggested to Daf that he should attack at full power. Daf did and finally managed to land a hit on Galatea. Riful explained what Galatea did was to match her yoma level with her components and as a result she was able to control them (it’s a lot more complicated than that but this is how it works in general). However this technique didn’t work when they attack at full power.
There’s quite a lot of information here so to simplify
- Clare used too much of her yoma power in order to recover, but recovered before awoken. Riful and Galatea were surprised.
- We found out that Riful was the first female claymore #1, the youngest to be #1 and the youngest to be awoken, who currently had control over the western territory.
- We also learned that Priscilla, the one who was responsible for Teresa death, was defeated by some man in the northern territory, and had amnesia. Also this man had fallen in love with Priscilla.
This volume ended with Clare declaring to kill Priscilla.
Writing summary is actually a lot more fun and longer than I thought, I'll finish the rest of volumes later. (I bet a scanlated vol7 is gonna be released shortly I posted this... )
From here on all I got them in chapters following from Vol8.
Spoiler for Ch46:
Riful was surprised to find out that Clare knew Priscilla.
Riful agreed to tell Clare Priscilla’s whereabouts if her sword managed to hurt her.
A raged Clare was stopped by Galatea before she turned awoken
Galatea mentioned they needed the power of #9 Jean who was currently held captured below to defeat Daf.
Clare left to save Jean, while Galatea released her yoma power to fight Daf.
Clare was shocked to find an awoken Jean who still retained her own human consciousness.
Jean asked Clare to kill her but Clare told her not to give up and recover.
Chapter ended.
Spoiler for Ch47:
Jean had returned to her human form, and she vowed to follow Clare since she saved her life.
Clare and Jean returned to see a wounded Galatea.
Galatea came up with a plan, with Clare and Galatea keeping Daf occupied to buy time for Jean to prepare her technique (by twisting her arms 15 times).
Jean released her technique but it was blocked by Daf, though Daf lost his hand in the process.
Chapter ended with Clare and Jean prepared for another attack.
Spoiler for Ch48:
Clare kept Daf at bay with high speed movement.
Jean twisted her arm 21 times.
Clare told Jean to believe her and Jean released the attack.
Riful was surprised how Clare managed to control her light speed sword technique without hitting Jean.
Chapter ended with Jean executed the technique.
Spoiler for Ch49:
Jean went right through Daf’s throat and was about to deliver the finishing blow, but was stopped by Riful.
Riful released her power.
Riful mentioned that Jean, Galatea and Clare were not worth awakening yet, she decided to wait until they became stronger.
Since Clare did manage to hit Riful with the sword, Riful told her the man who defeated and fell in love with Priscilla was Easley, the ruler of the Northern territory.
Riful and Daf disappeared.
Galatea declared to bring Clare back to the organization as this was her mission in the first place. Jean defended Clare.
Galatea gave in and decided to report Clare and Jean were killed by the awakens.
A glimpse of current #1 Alicia, it was mentioned that she was the strongest claymore in history.
Chapter ended.
Spoiler for Ch50:
Beginning of the northern campaign.
Jean continued to follow Clare to re-pay her, but Clare mentioned she already had. Clare used to think that the light speed sword technique was impossible to aim precisely because of the speed, but she was able to learn to do so using willpower in the last battle with Jean's help.
They were found by Rafaela.
Galatea’s lie about Clare and Jean was exposed.
Clare and Jean were given the option to atone for what they did by joining the campaign against multiple awakens in the north.
The man dressed in black mentioned that Raki was kidnapped by someone and sold to the north.
Now in the northern territory, Clare met some old comrades Deneve and Helen.
It was funny when Helen was trying to brag about her rank, only to be surprised when found out Jean was #9
Another high rank claymore - #8 Flora
Chapter ended with the return of Miria, the leader of this operation.
Spoiler for Ch51:
Miria explained why so many claymores (24!) gathered. There were multiple awakens acting together and a group of claymore with #7 as the leader was completely annihilated.
Another more important claymore was #11 Undine who used 2 claymores.
Flora showed off her skill to stop the arguing, she used high speed sword as well similar to Clares.
Basically they are separated into 5 groups of 4-5 members, with the top 5 ranked claymores being each group’s leader. So each group should be capable of taking on an awaken.
The old comrades met at night, Miria, Helen, Deneve and Clare. Since it’s for the ones whose had half-awoken so Clare also invited Jean. They were surprised to hear about how Jean managed to retain her human consciousness in an awoken state, and being able to survive after an encounter with Riful.
Miria mentioned the chances of winning this campaign is zero, since the awakens were led by Easley. She also mentioned that the organization sent them here in order to buy them time, knowing they have no chance of success.
Chapter ended with 3 awakens preparing to attack.
Spoiler for Ch52:
The awakens were impressed that the claymores managed to remain calm after being ambushed, though there were claymores whose had no experience fighting awakens.
The awaken the Flora’s group fighting had similar ability to Galatea, to control the opponents movements by matching the yoma power.
Clare saved the day with the arm she got from Irene.
On the other hand, Jean was busy helping her group and got wounded.
So to summarise,
- #6 Miria’s group taking on the first awaken
- #8 Flora’s group taking on the turtle look-a-like
- #9 Jean’s group taking on the wasp
Chapter ended with #13 Veronica’s group (Helen) assisting Jean’s Group, and #11 Undine’s group (Deneve) assisting Flora’s group.
Spoiler for Ch53:
Undine tried to take on the awaken on her own, but her yoma power backfired because the awaken was able to increase her yoma power without a change of appearance, and it was too late by the time she realised.
Deneve kicked Undine out of the way.
Back to the wasp like awaken, he appeared to be too strong for both Veronica and Jean’s group, most people have suffered damage one way or another. However it was actually a plan to distract him to allow Jean to build up her technique once again, that twisting arm thing. He got owned.
Chapter ended with Clare and Deneve taking on the turtle awaken.
Spoiler for Ch54:
Clare showed off her high speed sword to disrupt the awaken’s ability to control yoma power.
Deneve showed off her high regeneration rate.
Undine gave Deneve a helping hand to decapitate the awaken’s head.
Even with only its head, he tried to raise two of the claymore’s yoma level so they became awoken, but he was minced by Clare and Flora.
Someone mentioned how Clare managed to chop into smaller pieces than Flora.
Miria also took out the other awaken.
Undine complained how most people here had no experience fighting awakens.
Flora replied since no one died, they all have the experience now.
Miria mentioned some other people were starting to realise that they have little chance of success in this campaign.
We get to see the true Undine.
Chapter ended with Flora challenging Clare for a duel.
Spoiler for Ch55:
Flora asked Clare why was she not using full power, Clare said this was her full power, she was only borrowing power from her right arm during the last battle. Flora wanted to see the combined power of Clare.
Undine used to be weak and relied on a close friend. Her close friend died because of her incompetent, thus she decided to become as strong as possible so she could protect her comrades and they wouldn’t suffer what she had to go through. Her second claymore was of her deceased close friend. Undine was also constantly in the release state to show off her muscles to prove she was the strongest.
As for Deneve, her family was killed in front of her, vowed to kill yoma, saved by Helen when she was at her lowest… something quite cliché.
As for Clare and Flora’s duel, Clare had speed, but Flora had the edge in terms of power and precision.
Raki is back, apparently he was locked in the basement so he missed the yoma invasion. He met some girl who was quite fixated at him and another man… yup they are Easley and Priscilla.
Chapter ended.
Spoiler for Ch56:
Not much in this chapter, Raki’s going to learn how to use the sword from Easley and Priscilla reminded him of Clare.
Easley’s sending a total of 27 awakens to assault the town claymores were guarding, with Ligardes taking the lead.
Miria realised the quality and quantity this time were different from before, she wondered how many could survived this battle.
Chapter ended.
Spoiler for Ch57:
Clare and co were doing very well at first, Ligardes acknowledged their ability and decided to end the battle himself. He aimed primarily at the leaders of each group and took down Veronica, Undine, Jean and Flora in a flash.
Chaptered ended with a raged Clare, Helen, Deneve defending Miria against Ligardes.
Spoiler for Ch58:
This time their opponent power was too much for them, Deneve was severely injured and grieving for unable to protect Undine. Ligardes was able to match Miria's speed and Clare was having trouble just to catch up with them.
Not matter how much they tried they were outmatched, in order to stop Ligardes from dealing the finishing blow something happened to Clare.
Chapter ended.
Spoiler for Ch59:
Clare had awoken her leg.
It appeared that Ligardes is offensive type and tried to retrieve his arm, however Helen noticed his intention and got hold of his severed arm.
Clare continued to evolve different parts of her body.
Chapter ended with Ligardes in pieces.
Spoiler for Ch60:
Clare mentioned she no longer could recover her body and asked Helen to kill her while she could halt the movements of her awoken arms and legs.
Jean stopped Helen and approached Clare. Jean was impaled severely since Clare now had no control over her awoken bodies. Jean asked Clare to match the yoma power level with her so she could help Clare to recover to the human state. Clare refused and said Jean should use her yoma power to recover her injuries. However since Jean was an offensive type she could not heal the massive wound she suffered in her stomach. She wanted to finally re-pay Clare for saving her.
Clare returned to normal with Jean’s dead.
Deneve picked up Undine’s sword and turned 2 sworded.
Miria mentioned she could only feel the yoma power of 6 comrades including her.
Chapter ended with the situation looking rather bleak.
Spoiler for Ch61:
Miria mentioned this would be their final battle.
Switched back to the organization, something about Alicia still hadn’t reached 95%, Galatea complained about extra works due to missing 24 claymores, and more trash talk from the folks in the organization.
After training, Easley asked Raki to look for Priscilla. He found a naked Priscilla (woo fan service). Priscilla mentioned things were disappearing, and only 6 lights left.
More struggle from Clare and co.
Chapter ended with Priscilla saying all the lights had disappeared…
That will do for me tonight, that should cover up til the end of the northern campaign. I'll finish the rest tomorrow.

Nice summary. Most of the later chapters in the North Campaign are battles, so the short summaries work well.
Though, I have a question about the arc following the campaign...
Spoiler:
How long was the time-skip btw? I only have one chapter of manga post-NC, and it doesn't help that all of the renegade Claymores look the same as they are in the past.

Oh wonderful summaries, thank you again!
But I'm quite surprised because
Spoiler:
Raki is with Priscilla, Claire deadly enemy!
I mean: is he aware that Easly and Priscilla are Yoma? Why does he stay with them? Whose side will he take when Claire will arrive to Priscilla?
Aside from that is the story ending? It seems that the story is reaching harder and harder battle levels... ending that with the two final bosses.
I hope not, I hoped for Claymore to be the next Berserk.

Spoiler:
I believe he's aware that Easley's a Claymore (( not too sure though since we never really learned Easley's hair colour )), but he's not aware that both of them are first-rate Awakened. He doesn't even know the shady things Easley's subordinate is doing to Claire and co.
Well, he sparred with Easley a little bit. You can say he's learning how to fight a little bit from him. As to why Easley's bothered...Priscilla is strangely smitten to Raki after all. The last pre-timeskip chapter I read had Easley fighting with another Awakened, both at their full-powered form...I'm not so sure on Easley's fate, but it does look like Raki's stuck with Priscilla. I think we're in for some serious drama when Priscilla does meet Claire though. I would presume that Raki by then would've been with Priscilla MUCH longer than he is with Claire.
And no, the story isn't near ending yet, there's still...
-The Claymore Organization's HUGE secret.
-That Awakened Girl with his huge ugly Awakened Man-beast.
- Priscilla and Raki...possibly Easley too.
-Top-ranked Claymores.

Ragi is a plot device. He's going to be killed and thus, providing more drama between Clare and Priscilla. Because we all love angry face contortions and rage.
In fact, he had it coming for a while.
Learning to grow stronger so he can fight alongside with her? That's called a death flag, especially in manga that doesn't hold back in killing its characters. Who does he think he is? some self insert character?
But fret not, just like Theresa, Irene, Jean, and Sophia.. his death will make Clare stronger.
Oooo, finally got my account set up! I couldn't find anywhere else where people discussed this manga >.<
Nightengale: The post timeskip is 7 years later.
Awesome summaries masama, but I hope you don't mind me adding a few details you missed:
Spoiler:
Volume 8: The reason Riful is here trying to gather new awakened ones is because after Priscilla joined Easley, Easley has been very aggresive and has been starting fights along the borders, which causes Riful to want more companions in orer to defeat Easley. Riful also admires the companionship and trust the Claymores show to each other, and wants to have awakened ones she can call her own companions.
Chapter 46: When releasing her Youma power, Galatea mentions how out of all the current Claymores, her Youma limit (?) when releasing is the most.
Chapter 49: Alicia was actually shown observing the battle with another one of the organization's hooded men, and when the man asks her what she thinks of Riful, Alicia responds that at her current level, when she is able to bring Riful's life to about 50%, she herself would alreay be dead. The man then says that they must increase Alicia's power by another 30%. Also, throughout this entire arc, Riful makes fun of Daf a lot, so you can see who wears the pants in this relationship lol. When Riful saves Daf from being finished by Jean, she mentions that despite the fact Daf is a big idiot and a disgrace for getting so damaged, he's still her man, and she'd miss him if he died lol.
Chapter 50: They were also threatened to be killed by Rafaela if they did not go to the North, and the man mentions that they have absolutely no chance against her.
Chapter 52: The awakened one that can influence youma flow was unable to influence Claire's arm because it was on a whole different level than everyone else there. Irene was Claymore #2/3 during Teresa's class.
Chapter 54: At the end of chapter 53, the awakened one tried to raise the youma level in Claire and Deneve, but in chapter 54, he raises them past their limit, but sees no change in them, which surprises Undine and Flora (I think).
Chapter 55: Raki saves Priscilla from a falling piece of a building, and Priscilla immediately takes a liking to him. When Easely shows up, Priscilla says Raki has a sweet smell, and Easley notes that that must be because he's from the south (?) and Priscilla misses that smell.
Chapter 56: Raki wakes up in the same bed as Priscilla (with his face in her boobs!) He is reminded of Claire.
Chapter 58: Throughtout the entire chapter, Claire was asking her self why she can't keep up, and tells herself that if she just had a little bit more power, she could save everyone.
Chapter 59: Claire partially awakes her legs, which allows her to cut off Ligardo's arm before he kills Miria. Ligardo remarks that her speed has surpassed even his ability to sense it. However, soon Ligardo realizes that Claire is unable to control her new speed, and thus can only move in straight lines, which is easy to predict. Ligardo dodges one of Claire's lunges, and then attempts to kill Miria, however, Claire suddenly lunges at him again from point blank range. He then realizes that Claire has also awakened her arm, and used her arm as a pivot so she could stop and attack him again. Soon afterwards, she awakes Irene's arm and all these chain blades appear over her body. Before she chops Ligardo to pieces, Ligardo thinks to himself how incredibly strong she is.
Chapter 61: This is a really important chapter, as we get more information on how evil the organization is. They admit to Galatea that the 24 Claymores were sent on a suicide mission to stall for time so they can get Alicia to to completion. They basically treat them as disposable pawns. Galatea seems annoyed at the fact, but the organization tells her that they're training the next generation's version of the "eye", so she will no longer be crucial, and will lose her special status. After Galatea leaves, one organization member remarks to himself that the best Claymore is a claymore that is disposed of once they've outlived their usefulness.
And I hope you don't mind me doing the spoilers for the rest of the chapters;
Spoiler for chap62:
The organization is on the outskirts, and Galatea is here along with the money collector guy. We're finally introdued to Alicia, and Galatea is surprised she's wearing a black outfit. Suddenly, another Alicia appears, and Galatea is bewildered. She then realizes that the 2nd Alicia is actually Beth, Claymore #2, and Alicia and Beth are twins. A huge number of awakened ones appear, and Galatea notices how a few of them are quite strong, and asks the mysterious man whether it is wise for only Alicia to take them on. The awakened ones laugh at how the organization only sends 3 Claymores, and is ready to play around with them when Alicia suddenly awakens, and starts killing them. Next we switch to a bunch of awakened ones who meets Daf. Daf is surprised Ligardo and these awakened ones went to work for Easley, since he remembers Ligardo as a person who will never submit to anyone else. The awakened ones tell Daf that he made the wrong choice in who to follow, only to get sliced apart by Riful, who tells them that they're the ones who chose the wrong person to follow, and she and Daf proceed to destroy the awakened ones. We finally see Easley admiring the sky, when Lucera shows up, and says how he's so heartless in sending his awakened ones to suicide just as a test. She then proclaims that she will take over this territory.
Spoiler for chap63:
We see the aftermath of what appears to be the opening hits between the battle of Lucera and Easley. Easley is damaged on his forhead, and he has his bow out, with the battlefield littered with large arrows. We then see Lucera with 2 really gross tentacles (they have mouths on them) sticking out from behind her dress. Easley decides to go full awakened form, and shoots a torrent to arrows that Lucera tries to block, but they rip right through her tentacles. However, she laughs, and goes full awakened form too, and we see that the arrows which have pierced her body are now being eaten by mouths that appeared where they hit. Easley turns his bow into a lance, and says he'll run her through, and Lucera replies that she's going to enjoy eating him (???). Galatea notices them, but doesn't seem to say anything about it to the mysterious man. Alicia finishes off the awakened ones and returns to her human form. Galatea is surprised that Alicia is able to maintain her mind after awakening, and then sees that Beth is in a trance. She realizes that Beth must have somehow transfered Alicia's consciouness into herself, and thus maintains their mind separate from the Youma body, allowing her to awaken but keep complete control. This is why Alicia is the most powerful Claymore in the organization's history. The mysterious man talks about how this is only possible because the twins have no sense of self. In the past, they tried it with sisters, but it failed (hints at Rafaela and Lucera). We then see Rafaela observing the battle between Easley and Lucera.
Spoiler for chap64:
We flash back to what appears to be when Lucera and Rafaela were doing the test of what Alicia and Beth were doing in the previous chapter. We see that Lucera has gone out of control, and Rafaela sits with a gash in her eye. She tries to bring her sister back, but is unable to. In the aftermath, Rafaela wakes up bandaged in bed, and the mysterious man visits her, saying how they lost all the men and the claymores that were in the region, and that her sister has ran to the north. Rafaela wonders if she'll be punished, but the man says that they'll just exile(?) her. I can't really fully understand the exact conditions as to why they're not killing her, but basically, she's stripped of her rank. Later, it looks like she's wondering through the woods, and she meets a claymore in training. The claymore says she noticed Rafaela's youma power, but as soon as she got near, her youma level disappeared, making her think Rafaela was a normal person. Her trainer appears and hits her and derides her for running off again, and thinks Rafaela is a normal person, and threatens to kill her, when he realizes that she's Rafaela. He wonders why she's here, and she says she'll be on her way. Before she leaves, she asks the little claymore in training girl what her name is, and she replies that she's Teresa. Later, she's sitting in a cave somewhere in a remote area and the mysterious man shows up again. She says she realizes why awakened ones stay in this area, because there's so much youma power, it's hard to find anyone here. The mysterious man wants to reinstate her as a Claymore #, and tells her that Teresa along with #3-5 have been slain, as well as #2 having been awakened. They're short on people, so they need her reinstated, since her power was comparable to Lucera. In return, they'll offer her information on Lucera's whereabouts, so she can finish what she wanted to do before, which is to kill Lucera. Back to the present, we see lots of Lucera's tentacles laying around, with an Easley that has part of his face ripped off. He thinks to himself he just needed one more moment. We then see Lucera running through the forest, cursing Easley. She returns to her human form because she used up too much of her Youma power. At this moment, Rafaela shows up, and Lucera is extremely happy to see her, so much that she sheds tears and stretches out her arms. At the sight of this, Rafaela drops her Claymore and embraces Lucera. Lucera mentions how she's so happy to finally see Rafaela again, and she doesn't blame Rafaela for what happened when Rafaela cries that she's sorry for failing Lucera. Lucera says it is all Easley's fault, and she wants Rafaela to awaken so they can defeat Easley, and with their combined power, they can take over everything. Rafaela doesn't reply, and instead breaks Lucera's back. In the end, she says that she'll always love Lucera.
Timeskip!
Spoiler for chap65:
We're in the north, following a hooded claymore who comes across this completely destroyed town. She mentions how this is the remnants of the battle that happened 7 years ago, where the 24 claymores perished. She goes into a building and meets up with 3 other claymores, and it is revealed they're here to kill an awakened one. Their leader is Claymore #9, Nina. They tell the hooded Claymore that she's late (similar to Claire's first meeting with Miria and Denev lol) and ask her why she's wearing a cloak. She reveals that she can't stand the temperature very well and they ask her what her rank is,which she replies is Clarice, #47! They're shocked that they'd send a #47 here to kill an awakened one, and thinks she's a completely weakling. Nina tells Clarice to take off her hood, and when she does, they're shocked that Clarice has mostly normaly colored hair. So they go out and the other Claymores tell Clarice to not get in the way, and in fact, it's better if she doesn't come at all. They meet the awakened one, and he basically just blows Clarice away in one hit (she doesnt' seem seriously hurt though). Nina uses her special skill Shadow Chaser, allowing her sword to track the Awakened one even though she's slower. This allows her and the 2 other Claymores to chop off his arms. Just when Nina is about to finish him off, she gets shot through the chest, and so do the other Claymores. We then see two more awakened ones show up, and laugh at how the organization still thinks awakened ones will not party up. They declare that ever since 7 years ago when the organization actively started hunting for awakened ones, it's all out war now (or something to that extent). They see Clarice, and think the organization is really running short on people, and decide to have some fun + eat her since she looks like she's barely a Claymore. However, before they can do that, they are killed in a flash. Clarice wakes up seeing that all her teamates are alive, and sees blood everwhere. She goes over the hill, and comes across 17 Claymores stuck into the ground as a memorial site.
Spoiler for chap66:
We then see Miria, Helen, and one of the other girls (I can't remember who >.<) looking at Clarice. Helen is annoyed that Clarice is counting the Claymores, and thinks that this will reveal to the organization that there's still 7 Claymores alive and in hiding. She wants to kill Clarice to silence her up, but Miria says that they have to help those in need, and they'll just have to move. Helen then wonders where Claire is, and we see Claire walking in the snow followed by Yuma(? or Tabatha, one of them). Yuma wants Claire to slow down, but Claire says that she wasn't the one who requested Yuma to follow her. Yuma says that she's very thankful to Miria and everyone else for coming up with the plan to allow even a low ranked Claymore like her to live. We flashback to the night before Ligardo's attack, where Miria gathers all the Claymores and tells them of her plan. She takes out the pill that supresses Youma power, and chops it in half, and says that for tommorrow, they'll all need to eat it before the battle. With only half the pill, their youma power will not be supressed until they lose consciousness, thus, a form of faking death when they're knocked out. This is the only way she can give them a greater than 0% chance of any of them surviving. She feels bad that she has to use such a tactic, and that it'd cause them to be considered traitors to the organization, but since the organization treats them as disposable pawns, she has to do this. Undine supports her in this decision, saying how this would be a fair way, since it doesn't matter if you're weak or strong, you all have a equal chance of surviving, and that they're still going to give it their all before they lose consciousness. The other captains all support Miria. This is how they survived even though Priscilla detected that there were no Youma presence remaining 7 years ago. In the present, Claire then comes across a ruined city, and she goes in. She then goes into the basement, and realizes that Raki was here.
Spoiler for chap67:
We see Claire looking on the wall, and she sees a picture of the twin goddesses etched into the wall, and on the side, the names Teresa + Claire are written. We then return to the hideout where all the 7 remaining claymores gather, and Miria talks about how their existence might be exposed, and they'll head west(? sorry, my directions in Chinese are really messed up, so I can't really tell which direction it is) where the Organization will definately not look for them. Claire however, wants to go North(? or South, or wherever Easley + Priscilla was headed). She reasons this because she's found evidence that Raki is alive, and there's a good chance he made it out alive, and if he were alive, he'd go that direction. Miria then tells Claire to fight her, and Claire understands that Miria is trying to show her that she needs to be able to overcome Miria if she has any chance of surviving alone. They start fighting and Miria uses her new technique, which she has been working on these past 7 years, that allows her to constantly move incredibly fast without using Youma power (I didn't quite understand the explanation of her new power). Claire in turn, has mastered Flora's cutting technique, and combined with her light speed sword, allows her to draw her sword from her back in a flash, increasing her destructive power. After the battle, Miria says that at Claire's current level, she'd not survive against the awakened ones, or even the top ranked Claymores from the organization. She asks her if she has any other reason to go North other than Raki, and Claire replies that she does. Miria then declares that they're going to disband, and everyone can go wherever they want. She however, will follow Claire to the North to avenger their fallen comrades from 7 years ago. Helen and Denev also volunteer to go, saying that their training these 7 years would go to waste if they just went into hiding. The other 2 Claymores agree and Yuma says that even though she might get int the way, she feels she has to go with them too. It ends with all 7 of them heading north to avenge their friends.
Spoiler for 67-70:
I don't quite remember where one chapter ends and the other starts, and I don't have the chapters with me, so I'm just going to do all 3 together. Clarice is back at Organization headquarters reporting on what happened. She tells them how they were attacked by 3 awakened ones, and when she came to, they were all dispatched, and how she found the gravesite for the 24 Claymores that perished 7 years earlier, but there were only 17 of them. The counil members ask if she's suggesting there are 7 Claymores that survived and are in hiding, which they discuss amongst themselves about and conclude that even if they did survive, they'd be dead by now as they can't sense any youma power emanating from there. They tell her that she doesn't have to return to go fight awakened ones, instead, they want her to go partner up with #4, Miata, who has the potential to become #1 (What happened to Alicia? lol). However, she has mental problems, so they hope Clarice can help her socialize with normal people. The mysterious man also mentions that since Rafaela died, no one is able to surpass her (again, what happened to Alicia? lol). Clarice goes and meets Miata in a room, but as soon as she enters, Miata attaks her and pins her to the ground. She asks Clarice if she's the one who killed her parents, and Clarice cries that she isn't. Miata then rips Clarice's shirt, and Clarice thinks she's gonna rape her (O_o lol, that's the impression I get. Clarice is so girly compared to someone like Teresa who made a joke out of a similar situation lol). Instead, Miata starts breast feeding on Clarice's breast and calls for her mom, making Clarice realize Miata is just a child, and what exactly the Organization have been doing to the Claymores.
We're not back with the 7 survivors, and they're now in the much warmer region. Helen comments on how nice it is to finally see the clear sky and feel the warm climate. Tabatha seems to have simlar powers to Galatea, and starts sensing around them to scout the area after Miria orders her to. She reports that she senses 12 Claymores with 4 Claymores heading their way, 2 of which are significantly stronger than the others. Miria comments that the organization is the same as always, if these 12 are sent towards the North, they'd get slaughtered by the awakened ones. Suddenly, Tabatha senses the appearance of an immense youma presence, and Claire realizes that it's Riful.
Riful appears before the 4 Claymore group in her fully awakened form, and greets the group, and want's the Claymores to introduce themselves, now matter if they're highly ranked or n00bs (in the Chinese translation, they're called vegetable birds? lol) One of the Claymores looks very manly with short hair, and she's very rude to Riful, basically asking her who the hell she is, and why did she show up in front of them all yammering on, which surprises Riful. Another Claymore who looks very elegant, tells her to be quiet, saying that even though they're enemies, Riful is still one of their older sisters, and they should show proper respect. She apologizes for the rudeness of her partner, and introduces her friend as Rachel, Claymore #5, and herself as Audrey, Claymore #3. Riful is really happy that they're so highly ranked, and says that it's so nice children these days know proper respect, however, Rachel remarks that Riful doesn't seem very impressive at all. Audrey tells Rachel to not be so blunt, even though it's the truth. Riful is again surprised by their boldness, as Rachel says that the era has changed, and that she doesn't want to listen to the ramblings of some old person. Rachel sticks her sword into the ground, and Riful remarks how that's an odd stance, and how is she going to use her sword if it's stuck to the ground. Riful says she'll instruct these children on how to treat their elders, and attacks Rachel with her Tentacles. Rachel pulls out her sword in a flash, destroying all of Riful's attacking tentacles. Riful is surprised that Rachel is able to destroy her tentacles, and remarks that Rachel must use the extra leverage of the ground to swing her sword at a higher power than normal (like how samurai's draw their sheathed swords). Audrey appears behind her head and attacks her, but is unable to harm Riful, and Riful remarks how Audrey doesn't have the power to hurt her body, and sends her tentacles at Audrey. Audrey deflects all her tentacles, and surprisingly, Riful's Tentacles hit herself instead, doing some damage.
All this time, the 7 survivors have been observing the battle, and Yuma comments that it's so impressive that these two Claymores are able to fight against Riful evenly. However, Miria seems worried, and finally shouts out for Claire, Helen, and Deneve to go with her to assist them. Yuma is kind of disappointed that she can't go, but Tabatha/Cynthia replies that they need to be fast for this operation, since most likely it'd involve a stealth attack when nobody is expecting it, so that's why they need to stay behind. On their way there, Helen comments on who they're going to help, Riful or the Claymores, and Deneve asks her if she's joking. Riful is very impressed at both of them, and commends them on a really great combination, but says that even though they're very good, they are unable to defeat her, since Rachel is unable to get close to Riful to do critical damage, and Audrey while able to get close, is unable to severely damage her. At this remark, Rachel basically says bullshit, and calls Riful an old hag who can't understand the changing times (poor Riful >.<).
Rachel and Audrey do a joined attack against Riful. Audrey deflects Riful's incoming attacks and then uses her sword to pull back Rachel's sword (similar to a sheath) allowing Rachel to do her special attack right at Riful's Body. Rachel is able to create a large gash through Riful's torso, surprising Riful. Now Riful is telling them to stop, as another hit will finish her. Rachel taunts Riful some more, and prepares a 2nd hit, however, this time Riful dodges, and remarks that the same attack will not work twice. Riful says how Rachel's move is easy to see coming, and that they should have something else prepared, since they shouldn't have used up their hidden ace already, which greatly pisses off Rachel, who flails at Riful but doesn't do any damage. Audrey tries to pierce Riful through the wound Rachel gave earlier, but notices that she can't. Riful comments it was a good idea, but her insides are just as strong as her outer armor. However, while Riful was distracted, Rachel slices right through her head.
Rachel comments that she's won, but then suddenly freezes, as Riful splits the rest of her head and body. Audrey suddenly realizes Riful was not cut at all, and Riful remarks that she didn't mean to trick them at the beginning, but this was how her body originally is (made up of many strands of flat tentacles). She is disappointed the two of them didn't see through her trick, unlike two Claymores she fought 7 years ago, who saw through it immediately, but then again they were really good at sensing youma power flow (talking about Claire and Galatea). Audrey realizes that Riful was hiding her real youma power this entire time, and now that Riful has revealed her true strength, she's on another level entirely. Audrey is completely frozen and starts shaking, while Rachel gets really pissed, yelling at how Audrey is #3, and tries to attack Riful, only to get pierced by Riful's tentacles. Riful says that to fight ontop of her body is to put themselves in a position where she can instantly obliterate them. Riful wraps Audrey around in her tentacles Audrey starts crying. Riful tells Audrey not to be afraid, as that defeats the purpose of her hiding her true powers. However, she is disappointed that they didn't figure out her deception right off the bat, and was hoping to get more of a fight (basically yeah, #3 and #5 are pretty week compared to previous generations lol). She kind of wants to keep them by herside, even though they can't detect youma powers very well. Since Rachel fainted already, she'll start with Audrey. She tells her to make a decision quickly, since she'll be torturing her to awaken her. If she wants to awaken, she should do so quikly, otherwise, she can ask Riful to kill her. The two Claymores in hiding panicks, and one of them wants to help, but the other one tries to stop her, saying how they can't do a thing, and it's best for them to report this and return with backup. However, the one who wants to help runs towards Riful anways, but suddenly notices the other one is knocked out. She turns around only to get knocked out by Helen/Deneve.
Riful notices that she can't sense the two Claymores in hiding anymore, and then she sees Miria, who takes Rachel and disappears in an instant. Helen also users Jean's attack (arm twist thingy) and pierces the tentacles holding Audrey, escaping from her. Audrey tries to get out of Helen's grasp, asking who the hell are they, only to get knocked out by Deneve, who tells Helen they're easier to deal with if you knock them out first lol. Riful shouts at them to stop taking her prey, and attacks Helen and Deneve, only to have her tentacles deflected by Claire. Riful asks who are they, but all 4 of them dash off, holding one of the knocked out Claymores. Riful tells them to come back, and one of them does. It's Claire, and she says she has something to ask Riful. End of chapter!!!

Oooo, finally got my account set up! I couldn't find anywhere else where people discussed this manga >.<
Awesome summaries masama, but I hope you don't mind me adding a few details you missed:
no I don't mind at all, I was only going to write a few lines for each chapter but ended up going into too much details in some places.
Besides your summaries made mines look like crap
It's nice to have someone to fill in the gaps for me.

Aside from that is the story ending? It seems that the story is reaching harder and harder battle levels... ending that with the two final bosses.
I hope not, I hoped for Claymore to be the next Berserk.
Spoiler:
just had a look at ch56 again it didn't seem like Raki is aware that Easley and Priscilla are yoma or awokens. When Raki first saw Easley wielding his sword he asked if he was a famous swordman. Easley said he did learned how to use a sword before but gave up soon after. Raki asked Easley to teach him to use a sword because he wants to stay with someone, he wants to be stronger so he wouldn't be a hindrance to her. And if possible he wants to have the strength to help her.
I think the story is far from ending, it feels to me this is the second arc with the powered up Clare and the rest.
Thanks for finishing off the summaries Xion, yours are what I called summary and mines are bullet points
now that we are kind of up-to-date with Claymore we can actually have some discussions.

by newbie gang you mean Audrey and Rachel right? well yeh they got owned pretty bad, considering they are #3 and #5 you'd think they'll do better.
What do people think about Clare vs Riful? I doubt Clare can take Riful on her own, but with Miria, Helen and Deneve I think they stand a pretty good chance.
Taken from the Claymore anime thread

Anyone has any idea what's going to happen to Claymore? if 6/6 is the last issue then we'll only get 2 more chapters... I hope it won't cause any delays
Hmm, Claire definately should not be able to take down Riful, but she should be able to hold her own for a bit, at least impress Riful enough to get her questions answered, then scram lol. Riful does seem to like Claire a bit, so she'll probably play around with her a bit more and see how much she's improved.
One thing I'm still wondering about is how Claire and co are able to completely supress their youma presence (no use of Youma powers) yet still be able to do their special moves (Miria with her improved speed, Claire's Flower Cutter Speed Sword, and Helen with her spiral thrust). That'd mean if they do release their youma power, they'd be pretty ownage? lol.
Also, it seems like Rafaela is dead, I'm guessing she killed herself after Lucera died? Too bad Lucera gets introduced for like 2 chapters and then gets killed off =/ I mean, she is one of the three strongest Awakened ones, I was hoping to get more on her.
Also, what happened to Galatea, Alicia, and Bell? If there's a new #3, then that means Galatea is either dead, retired, or missing. Alicia is definately stronger than Rafaela, but why does the mysterious man say that since Rafaela's death, no Claymore has surpassed her?
As for the end of Shounen Jump Monthly, hopefully the author will find another monthly magazine to join. I mean it is popular enough to get an anime.
Btw, when's next chapter coming out XD

I consider her a lesser evil and necessary if Clare wants to take down Easley and Priscilla
Second, the organization has a tendency to rank claymores based on youma power alone. But as we know already, it's not quite that simple. For all we know Claris could have a uber hack ability like Clare

Spoiler:
I like Riful too, she's cute ^^ Well, at least in her human form >.> Also, she doesn't seem too bad compared to the other Awakened ones, like, she said that before Easley started stirring up the peace, she was just sleeping and eating in her corner of the world, so it's mostly Easley's fault for getting her to come and start killing things.
Also, who do you guys think is the most powerful Claymore? I think it's Teresa:
Spoiler:
Teresa seems to be obscenely powerful, I mean, she basically whupped a partially awakened Priscilla using only 10% of her Youma power. Priscilla is probably close to the level of Riful/Lucera/Easley in terms of power as an awakened one. I mean a partially awakened Claire basically raped Ligardo, and an unawakened Claire is still probably weaker than an unawakened Priscilla.

Spoiler:
It really doesn't make sense how they can execute all these techniques without yoma power does it. Personally I think they learned how to use their yoma power while suppressing yoma presence. Regardless how, it does give them an edge over those rely on sensing yoma presence to fight.
We only know the current #3, #4, and #5 so far right? So I'm guessing Alicia and Beth are still #1 and #2, surely they couldn't be done with after all these efforts the organisation spent on them. I reckon we'll still see some more Galatea, she did say she was disgusted (or along those lines) at what the organisation has done to Alicia and Beth, so she could be in hiding.
About the mysterious man referring to no Claymore has surpassed Rafaela since her death, I think they meant her ability to hide yoma presence. During the meeting they said there couldn't be any survivors else they could have sensed them. They didn't think anyone else apart from Rafaela could hide their yoma presense, but we all know Clare and co now can.

second Teresa
Spoiler:
She hesitated and taken by surprise. I reckon if she was at 80% (think that is the maximum Claymore can go before becoming awoken), she could take the awoken Priscilla on with ease. There's definitely a lot more to Clare than what we know, after all part of her is Teresa. IIRC the organisation did mention there are still some unknown factors with Clare a long time ago, probably before the Northern campaign.

I'd like to see more of Claris as well. When she first appears after the time skip and introduces herself, Claris #47, I really thought Claymore was going to start anew with new casts, it was even more believable knowing that she's quite unique (her hair colour that is). But I'm glad I was wrong
Oh and btw, Claymore releases on the 6th each month.
how come priscilla looks much younger than in the beginning? Is it because she "awakened"? And I am wondering if Raki is still with them... I mean he will probably find out about them being monsters in those years.
But regardless of Raki's training i doubt he will make much of an impact in a claymore battle since they have inhuman speed, power etc.
