Thanks, I was wondering who did that narration. ANN doesn't have her listed in the cast, which is a shame, as that crazy old lady voice goes well with the fairy-tale/fable parody setting.

I'm curious if anyone here has a taste for late-70s Japanese rock. Because that's what our ED theme is going to be. The song is "Akazukin-chan Goyoujin" ("Little Red Riding Hood Beware"), which is rather fitting, given the motif of the show (and of one of the main characters).

It's going to be covered by three of the five girls from A & G Digital Radio. Don't ask which three, because I don't know yet. Kanae Itou is pretty much a lock, having a lead role in the show and all. The other two could be either Yuka Iguchi, Yuko Sanpei, Satomi Akesaka or Asami Shimoda.

Now, if anyone wants to hear the song's original recording.

I can't imagine myself listening to that version again. I like some 70s Rock (Prog, Glam, and Punk), but that was really Bubblegum Rock.

I could imagine it being the basis for a new adaptation that is decent, though. Hopefully they'll do a good job with it. As you said, it seems to fit the story.

Let's get that out of the way before we can begin. After the last series this director directed, I had reason to be optimistically cautious. But this series has everything that I thought that one lacked. A mouthy narrator whom the charactere are aware of (that's always a plus), some nice comedy, and I love the fairy tale motifs. It helps that the main cast forms something just short of a goddamned super hero team, and as someone still wowed by the promise of heroes saving us all, I am a very easily swayed man. The OP is nice, and Ryoushi, "-su" speaking he may be, is actually a pretty decent guy. Though I want to know more about Otohime. She looks like a character I can get into (ie. she looks totally bonkers.)
