Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara
Synopsis: Quote:
Illustrator: CUTEG Manga Artist: NAGIAN (凪庵) Publisher: Kodansha Volumes: 5 volumes (Light Novel), 4 volumes (Manga) Original Title: 彼女がフラグをおられたら The premise itself seems like KamiNomi on crack at first glance, but I've read it and found it fairly amusing. Currently there's eight chapters of the manga adaptation scanlated, but I've found RAWs up to volume 3. |

Read the latest chapter.
Breaking yandere flags isn't so easy eh? You think you'd be able to do it in one stroke, but then it turned into another flag you might do or might don't want to see.

As much as I love harem where the MC has strong character, the story is painfully mediocre with the normal set of character types (except the MC can read their mood via flags above their head). The main thing that annoyed the heck out of me was that the MC keeps on questioning himself whether or not <insert girl of the moment here> really loves him or not, and after the blablablah time, it just gets tiring. That's not to say the characters aren't likeable, but don't expect too much from the story.
The main draw of the series is CUTEG's art and we all know what generally happens to artwork during adaptations. I guess I'll look forward to the fanservice then. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Kinda wondering why this kind of mediocre thing get animated first and not LNs with deep plot and intriguing characters such as Mahouka or Biblia Koshodou (fuck live-action! I wanna anime of it!) BTW, this is manga thread correct? That means i should stop here and not spoiling things in LN |

Doesn't matter really, I don't believe there was any thread with either manga or LN, so feel free to put stuff from the LN. I actually try to see things first from comedy and it worked well for me. The premise is interesting enough despite some concerns about the writing but on a whole it's an enjoyable read - it's not one for anybody wanting to read something that invests in detailed, well-written plot.
Of course, being only three volumes in, I'm not fully up with the recent events. |

Honestly, it's a bit cold. Played a bit too straight and simple with the harem and the jokes.
But some moments made up for it, like the epic Akane chapter (which in itself is kind of random) wherein we witnesseth The Great Love Flag and an even more hilarious The Prince's Kiss flag. |

Could someone explain to me what happened with the President? I didn't really understand their conversation. It seemed like she was saying she didn't want to live a "perfect" life like her brother since it made him unhappy, but was pushing people away regardless by being a trouble maker. And then Souta made the same face as her brother and she panicked because she thought he would be unhappy. So to her unhappiness=death?

Interesting stuff all around (lost track of the series during the Sports Festival shenanigans), but the implications that the "world" that everyone is in right now is sort of a simulation was surprising to say the least.

And about the world being a simulation, I get the idea we're going to find out the world already hit a BAD END and is actually destroyed or something.

More questions than answers, but it does point to the "world" being an elaborate simulation. Mei says that Souta also has the ability to save her world, which seems to be an important point!
And boy, that Sakura seems to be playing a dangerous game. I mean, what if what Mei know is important to the situation they're in right now? What good is it for Mei herself to FORGET about it?
