I also liked steins gate.
It started pretty slow and dull but has been slowly building. Finally seems like its going now.
The main character has been pretty unlikeable so far.
Liking Steins;Gate though, you should definitely give this a shot.

Finally caught up with R;N, and I see that the story has picked up quite a bit.

Quite surprised that the top 3 players of KB are dead..

I think Noitamina usually has a two week break round this time, so 10/1/2013 sounds about right

Gasp ... seems like winter season Noitamina is going to be the hell of a gloomy festival.

I guess this is what people mean whenever they say things have a tendency to really pick up in Semicolon games. My favorite part of the trailer was probably Akiho and Jun riding through the streets on their motorcycles, but it's hard to say for sure because badassness permeated every one of those sixty-one seconds.

Looks like hanging on through the first half was worth it. Something to look forward to during the somewhat bland winter season.

I'm glad the anime is going to get much darker. I guess it's like Steins Gate in the sense that the second half will be more darker and intense.

"Darker" does not necessarily equate with "better." What's more important is being able to carry gravitas. Something can have weight without being dark, and something can also be "dark" and carry no weight at all.

Ouch.. very dark indeed. The last Gunvarel was the truth of what is going on and that the solar flare is an intentional weapon.

Now what do we know from the last episode.

1. Robots headed for the elevator and plummeted down
2. A laser fired at a specified sunspot to cause the Sun to do a super flare destroying the world

So it appears the robots plummeting down was probably to power that super laser it sounds like. So if people put 2 and 2 together destroy the robots before they get to the elevator to provide power to the elevator so the laser can not fire. But the leak is so late in the game with only 75 hours it appears remaining that there most likely will not be time to make any type of plan.

Secondly the 3 dead that are the top 3 in Kill-Ballad are probably some sort of program by Frau's mother who disappeared kind of like the Kimijima Kou Reports are. A clue that again was found too late... After all it took 9 years for Airi to get through to someone and Frau's mother disappeared while she was still young. So most likely these clues were difficult enough not to tip the enemy to them but to attract attention of the ones that would discover the truth.

But it appears that it may have all been too late. It really does look like the dead players are a major clue as it was stated that the top 4 have not changed ranks at all. So 4 players with 3 dead for sure and rank has not changed. I really wonder what the clue is here to Frau.

Ok thanks for that correction the preview for next episode made it appear it was already too late so I was thinking in terms of hours not days.
