...What if the anime staff decided to make the antagonist from the OP look cute/moe and not evil?

I think everyone should just watch the episode and decide whether the character's personality was portrayed in context, and not just get hung-up over whether they preserved the exact same look for her eyes when you compare still shots...

What I meant by is on maturity.

I wondering if she really given up developing her own power.

There are too many teenagers in the city after all and most of them are "somewhat" rebellious.

That was a good episode. Glad to see Railgun is jumping right into the juicy bits.

I'm also glad to see Shinobu animated, I always really liked her. They got her personality right but I miss the creepy eyes.

I thought her eyes were creepy enough. She had a dead man stare.

You can be more subtle in anime compared to manga. At least in this instance. So I think it was a good decision.

I agree with this. Her personality was very well conveyed without giving her the fish eyes, imho.

Anyway, I'm satisfied with the episode. It's looking good so far.

Yup! Everything is still according to Nostradamus predicted

Jokes aside, even though I knew what was going to happen, it still felt very slow paced, but I guess that was a good place to stop the episode, same as the original material.

That was a slow episode.
Imo, fish eyes (forgot her name) is still pretty creepy even without those eyes. The animators probably thought that it would be overkill with those eyes.

About the eyes: I figure the manga had her with those eyes because the creepiness could not be portrayed as well without them.

quite an enjoyable episode, with such pacing slower but i actually prefer it this way, except it's such a pain to wait 1 week in between to continue the story >.<. Anyway I needed to keep reminding myself this is before the early parts of Index, so that my mind won't be jarred by the happenings, since I kept expecting this & that and then remembering that would happen later....

I think they did the right thing with the girls eyes too, giving her those fish eyes in the anime will be overkill, she will just look like she's OD on drugs all the time. this way she's still creepy but subtle. differences in medium and all.

That's a good point, didn't think of it that way. You get the voice, movement, and what not in anime form.

I'm not really bothered by such minor changes.
Her creepy persona's still there but I can sorta like her more now that she's cuter...
I do like how they're pacing this though, for me when a good plot story arc is done in a slow pace, as long as they pay close attention to details and do things right, it has a lot of tension build up, and that's something I don't get much when watching shows and I like it a lot.
