Somewhat ominously, rumors are rampant in the Inu-verse that the entire "Final Chapters" run is going to be 26 episodes. Or, roughly 8-9 chapters per ep. If true, there's going to be a rash of whiplash cases from the story speeding along so fast.

I think thats possible...seeing how the manga chapters were 20pages or so...or was it 15 pages?....so why not...it can end in 26 chapters...but I'd prefer it to go up 52....that would be better for both fans and commercial industry....

OMFG! lol. Well, I'm just excited cuz it was one of the first animes with Cowboy Bebop that got me into anime, when I started watching Adult Swim. Also, this was my first anime that went over 100 episodes, and I gotta say the first 100 episodes were so addicting for an 8th grader; I watched nearly 10 episodes a day till it got boring after ep 100 lol. Then, I got caught up to the episodes airing like around 120-140ish... I was upset with the filler in the series. Since the manga is complete, there better not be as much filler the next time around. I'm ready to be addicted to finding shikon shards again... yesssssssss. I haven't read the manga either, so I'm ready to see a whole new story.

Having read the manga up to end, I must say I have lost my interest in this title a long time ago.

The actual story was told in the initial 30 episodes and all it needed was 20 more to end it at best. But no, they had to drag it to infinity and finally deliver a somewhat uninteresting conclution that hardly solved all the secondary stories.

Nope, unless the story derives from the manga I will not bother to watch it.

The entire point of this "Final Act" is to cover the rest of the manga, so of course it will derive from the manga. Unless, of course, you meant deviate, which it likely won't for that exact reason.

Holy cow, I can't wait to see certain events animated, seeing how I have read the manga to it's conclusion. Nothing will suprise me, except for some tear jerking moments added with musical flare to settle the mood.

that would be god awful... aaaa the inuyasha manga is bad for an anime adaptation in a sense.. theres a lot of seemingly useless stuff that goes on, which has very little effect on the story.. but still effects it. all those little elements finally build up to a big climax. hmm.. no matter how expertly one directs 26 episodes is just not possible .. even 52 episodes might not be enough.

well, as long as they animate the

the fillers were here and there, but the show ended with manga original material as far as i know - things were left completely open and unexplained.

Speaking of her, I can only imagine Mamiko Noto voicing her.

I think they'd get the cast back. Yukino Satsuki and Yamaguchi Kappei are still popular to this day.

A few days ago Viz sent out an email press release anouncing their acquiring of the new Inuyasha anime. They released a logo as well. I'm getting the feeling that there may be an English-subbed simulcast (perhaps just wishful thinking on my part).

Anyways here is the logo.
