welll, I hope the author will explain this to me. If the FT gang is getting a boost from their 2nd/hidden magic source, while everyone else got powered up through training and are still only tapping their 1st magic source - doesn't that mean the gang would come out worse in the long run? coz they're already using their 2nd while the rest are only using their 1st? Can someone tell me if my logic is right or not?

esp Levi and Lisana (double "especially" for Lisana). Poor girl, got brought back to life for absolutely no reason at all... only to be shunned to the sideline.

So Mashima likes how the Elder of Namek powered up Gohan and Krillin in the Freiza arc and upgraded it into time magic ability?

Natsu has no idea that grabbing women just to thank them like is way too wrong partly fault of Ultear's fake image used during the Deliora Arc.

Am I the only one who thinks there will be another side effect to their powerup?? Remember, it's Ultear's Time Magic we're talking about. I think a second side effect would be the rapid aging of the characters. Think about it. Ultear said the trade-off would be unspeakable amounts of pain. What would be the cause of that?? simple.

Because of the rapid aging, their bodies also deteriorate painfully at a quickened pace. It's kinda like how Naruto's Kyuubi V2 form works. But the thing is, I'm seeing that they won't age that much. My guess is, they'll age 7-10 years older. So.... Mashima is pretty much fulfilling the fans' new design requests in his own unique way. And I gotta say, if this happens, Mashima is a genius.

Pretty much, yeah.

Personally, I'm hoping it turns out Natsu and co. already activated their second origins, so they can't do it again It'd at least be plausible for Natsu and Erza. Wendy could be covered too if they just say all DS's come pre-activated. And then the others could just turn it down under peer pressure.

I first thought that Ulter time arc magic power boost explained about Lucy’s unknown source of power when she knew that she’s already drain after a battle?!? Like summoning her spirit even she didn’t open their gate – so that’s her second source of power and she been practicing it unconsciously !!?

Still hoping that somehow Wendy will learn a new technique due to the book Polysuca gave to her - - - and I hope others too, not this just simple power up…^^ …..and yeah, Gerard may help her decoding ^^

Can’t wait for the tournament, this may be the exciting tournament will held since all the strong Mage’s will all participate ^^

And yeah, …Meredy and Ulter is so hot!!^^

Hm. Here's an interesting question: how old do you consider the Tenru Island group? Would you say they were the same age before the timeskip (as if it never happened) or would you say their the age they would/should be had they not been frozen in time for the timeskip? Or maybe both so like physically and mentally the age they were before the timeskip but technically their age plus the seven years of the timeskip?

Personally, I'm not sure which to consider them so I go with the last option but I'd love to hear what you all think.

Pretty sure they are the same as they were before the timeskip, they were trapped in a giant time stopping bubble.
They did not age in anyway be it mind or body.

However that theory about them aging cause of Ultear's magic is interesting, altho if it something like that did happen, the gang will have basically lost 7 years of their lives, that alot of time to lose, even if it's gain a "power up"
But with that idea in mind my interest in whats to come has risen, cause I'm all for seeing the gang grow up.
Altho that still leaves the likes of Gajeel, Mira-chan, her siblings and Cana out of it...unless Ultear has already given them a visit(which I kinda doubt)

Let's take batteries for example. We have a lone battery as well as a pair of batteries. The lone battery operates at full capacity while the two other batteries are at 50% capacity. They would both last roughly as long and take roughly as long to recharge too.

Then we add second battery at 50% capacity in addition to the full capacity one. Meanwhile we charge one of the paired batteries to full capacity. Now we have 150% capacity in both pairs.

The point is that regardless of in what order the mages increase power of their 1st source and how and when they access their 2nd source is irrelevant to the end result. Sooner or later both sources of the main cast are going to be at 100% or very close to it.

The core member's strength within fairy tail is unlikely to change significantly because it has stayed about same since the very first episode/chapter. They all improve.

I have to agree with one thing though. This 2nd source of power sounds like stupid plot device. They really could have had their training time, but there was no need for mangaka to depict it in the panels, just skip right into the tournament.

So I guess Ultear's magic has grown to the point that she can affect living beings now, since I doubt theres actually a physical container inside their bodies. My belief goes even further if her magic ages them.

Imagine if their age will catch up to them quickly as a side effect of leaving the Fairy Sphere. That would probably present a problem for Makarov, though (or not, depending on how tough he actually is)...

Do you mean in the tournament? If so, she certainly is. I wouldn't be surprised if she got all three there.

The last 2 Golden Keys (Libra and Pisces), sorry about that. If this tournament is an melee of the greatest mages in the world, I'd be downright disappointed if we didn't see several gold-key wielding Celestial Mages. Especially ones that can actually use them to the extent that they are actually on another level than Silver keys, something Lucy seriously lacks.

I would think so but you never know hopefully they will and have Lucy finish up the zodiac and move on to even more powerful Celestial spirits afterall they only ever said she had 2 kinds of keys not that was all there was. And the list of constellation includes makings for a royal family, 2 greek demigods, a dragon and 2 sea serpents so there are plenty of choices too for stronger summons later.
