Original: At any rate, here's prelim shading... I'll clean up all of the lines and add color in a minute. Just one of them "Instant updates" kinda thing. And here's the colored version, although I think it looks better just black and gray. Well, that's that. And thank you soo much to Kajiru for his/her (sorry, don't know your gender) wonderful art! The "flute playing samurai" one was originally draw by Noriyuki Matsumoto, not nice to copy other people's stuff. >_> If you are coping something - say so.
Mou, don't you buy artbooks, people? <|>_<|> That one was printed on the back cover of New Generation of Manga Artists. Last edited by Sakura-chan; 2004-01-28 at 18:49. |

Hrmm... I think we've been over this in another thread...
Refrencing doesn't matter; the fact is that they drew it themselves, if not the exact ideas and proportions. "Drawing what you see is an essential part of being an artist," and takes a great deal of skill regardless if it was out of your own head or drawn from the ideas of another. This is an essential part of the learning process, and I hold absolutely no grudges for refrencing art. Keep up the good work, Kajiru!! |

However, as a historical sidenote, female kendoka always wore red hakama (pants). At least, I assumed this was female. |
