Song that could pass as an anime OP/ED?

Have you ever heard a song where you get this feeling that it would perfectly as an OP/ED, but hasn't been taken advantage of?

The song I'm listening to right now seems perfect for an OP/ED with a lot of sad stares, stone, snow, and black hair. It's a very tame, thoughtful song.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Face to Face

*edit* I found out it was actually featured on the Batman Returns soundtrack ^^; But that doesn't count :P

I've always thought that See Right Through Me by Mobile would make a good ending

I think a lot of Death Cab for Cutie songs would work as EDs, maybe OPs, for romance series. I'm not sure how you would animate it but I Will Follow You into the Dark is one of the best and yet saddest songs I've ever heard.

Buying New Soul by Porcupine Tree would be a great ending theme, I think, well, if it was CHOPPED CHOPPED CHOPPED correctly. =p

Chihiro onitsuka - Infection - for a dark anime with depressing undertones
w-inds - Light - fits perfectly for the ending of any shonen anime
Utada Hikaru - Final Distance - yet again for an ending, needs to be a romance anime

those are from the top of my head ^_^

Most of Sonata Arctica's songs would fit good for an anime OP/ED, depending on the series genre. They make melodic speed metal.
Another candidate could be the italian DJ Robert Miles. In 1996, he composed the album "Dreamland". Dreamland made him famous in entire europe. The tracks "Children" and "Fable" are so sweet... Imaginable sound for an OP/ED, imo.

In my opinion, I think these can be set as opening/ending/insert songs.

Opening:

HAndMC - Amazing (suitable for any shonen-style opening)
ELT - Jump (usually more of shojo anime or perhaps magical girl type)

Ending:

ELT - Koi wo shiteiru (preferably for Christmas themed anime OVAs)
Tommy Heavenly - Lucky Me (good for shonen style anime, quite a flexible song too)

Insert:

Ayumi Hamasaki - Jewel
BoA - Everlasting

Red Reduction Division (or something like that) by flipSIDE. It could easily pass as an anime op.

edit: <___< it seems to be the opening of a game though...that still works right?

I find that there are so many J-Rock/J-Pop songs out there that could fit as an OP or ED theme. OP songs would be mainly upbeat, so Rock, Dance and Fast Pop songs would fit nicely.

ED would mostly be slow(er) songs.

Opening Themes:

"Drive-In" - Starboard
"Rocket Sneaker" - Ai Otsuka
"Caramelldansen 「Speedycake Remix」" - Caramell

Ending Themes:

"Daze" - Starboard

I feel that nowadays, anime songs are hardly any different from mainstream J-pop music.

Chihiro onitsuka - Infection - amazing ballad, but more suitable for insert song than ED/OP imho :/
Minato (RyuuseiP) feat. Hatsune Miku - Soar - would be a very catchy OP

American Songs

1.Cassie-Flyleaf as a death note opening......might a third ending or opening if there was one.
2. Swollen Summer-the bravery ..............i've always like this for an action/drama anime
3. Technologic-Daft Punk.............maybe for a cute anime, weird anime, or with girls, sort of like a ecchi genre
4. Soul meets body- death cab for cutie.............maybe a romance anime, bu it sounds better off as an ending.
5. Goodnight and go- imogen heap.......................romance anime, as an ending though.

Japanese songs:
1.koi no megalover- maximum the hormone...................seems a lot like a highschool drama or dark romance song.
2.Rush-uverworld.................seems cool for an action/vampire anime. I don't know if it's been used yet..............xD
3. sunadokei-la arc en ciel.....................always loved this song for an anime, always.
