What would you like to see for the 30th Anniversary Gundam show?

Quote:
Kouryakukan reports in one of their lastest postings (Gundam Ace Part II posting) that the 30th anniversary Gundam series will be a “surprise project” when they announce what it’ll be in the spring of 2009 after the second season of Gundam 00 ends its run. Gundam|News will keep on top of the news and information as it becomes available.

From GundamNews
There are no details yet, but it looks like Sunrise is planning to make a 30th Anniversary Gundam show. The purpose of this thread is to discuss what you'd like to see in that show.

Until more information shows up, please contain all discussion about the 30th Anniversary show in this thread.

Thread Guidelines
  • No campaigning!
No "hate" or "xyz must die" posts. Discuss why you do or don't like characters without whining and whining or blatantly campaigning for your favorite.

  • Be polite to your fellow forum members.
Do not insult or harass other members for their likes and dislikes. Do not take it so seriously that you end up in an argument with another forum member because they express a fondness for a character you loathe. Discussion and good spirited banter is always welcome, but harassing people won't be tolerated.

  • Discuss, not Chat.
Please remember that AnimeSuki is a discussion forum, not a chat room, there is a difference. If you wish to chat, then please make use of our IRC channel (#animeuki) on ZiRC.

  • Have fun, but post intelligently.
It's great to have fun, but please try your best to add substance to what you post and make your thoughts interesting for the generation of fans that will follow after you’re long gone and on to watching some other series.

  • Use spoiler tags!Spoilers are allowed, but they must be enclosed in spoiler tags clearly marked with a proper title. Failure to do this can result in a BAN.
  • Adding a Spoiler tag:
Just highlight your spoiler and click the button found
on the "Quick Reply" and "Reply to Thread" forms.
Make sure that you include a title for the spoiler!
  • Please use the Report button if you see any spoilers:
Click the button found to the left of the post, just under the poster's avatar.
Using the Report button is anonymous and helps the Moderators
to locate and deal with problems quickly.
  • Posting prohibited spoilers may result in a ban.
Note: Reporting a post does not mean the poster will be banned instantly.
The Moderators will use bans if warnings are repeatedly ignored.

Somethings others were talking about in the News Thread:
-Gundam Unicorn series/OVA
-Version of the GSMovie that hasn't had news in so long.
-New series/OVA
-Something UC

Stratospears thoughts:
- A sequel to GS Stargazer, we never managed to find out what they'll do with that AI component.
- A movie involving a crossover of two Gundam Franchises. Though sentai-ish, but it'll be cool.
- A live-action, Japanese, Gundam movie!!
- Something random, but Gundam-related.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I think it will be a remake of something personally.

I would like an updated remake of the original MSG, with the original story line but new animation. Its too hard for me to get the original episodes but i still want to see what started the great franchise.

Hirotaka Suzuoki (Bright), among others, is dead.
There will never be a MSG remake.

I meant the remake would have updated voice actors. I know purist say so and so cannot be replaced, but I think its all right as long as the story is true to the original.

Wouldn't mind seeing somekind of TV version of Crossbone, or something new in/after CC.

I defenitly want to see something UC. Unicorn is my first choice, as from what I've seen of the story, its quite interesting, and it has some interesting plot points that effect the UC universe as a whole (and tells us the fate of some VERY important characters from past series I believe) and I also love the MS. A animation of somekind for Crossbone would be my second choice. It defenitly deserves to be animated.

Maybe it will be something like the Rebuild Of Evangelion? A series of original MSG movies with new animation, some altered storyline?

Series I would like to see made:

Gundam Unicorn
Gundam F91/Crossbone
New series/OVA/movie (either UC or alternate)

Series I don't mind seeing:

Reanimated UC series such as MSG and Zeta
Revised GSD or new SEED series as long as its done by a completely different staff
Gundam X extended

No one can replace Bright Noah as he sounded.

For what I'd like to see, actually is something like Turn A, meaning more of Tomino's good.

I would love to see a live-action Gundam movie with special effects rivaling (if not better than) the special effects in Transformers.

I would like to see:

- F91/Crossbone(haven't watch it,i heard it still have fans till now)

- Unicorn(wonder how Unicorn gundam look like in anime?)

- GS Stargazer (the stories still does'nt look complete to me)

- GS new series(can't wait to see Kira,Athrun,Shinn team up & maybe some new enemy)

- A film or series with superb special effects like Tranformers that use Japanese
actor and staff for more realistic feel.

- If it Turn A they are making please make the gundam more appealing and look good.

UC Gundam would be nice but I wouldn't mind seeing other AU series. Also for making another CE series, I could see something good coming out of it but I really think it will be mediocre and especially Fukuda and his wife would working on it. Since it is surprise I am kinda hoping that it would be a new Gundam or UC Gundam directed by Tomino even though I think he said Zeta movie was his last Gundam. But in the end I think it will be new Gundam Seed because that is where the most money is for Sunrise.

A new season of an older series would be nice.

Stargazer, SEED/SEED Destiny, etc...

Please correct the erratum topic quote to the following:

So why do people fight, anyway?
Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

i so wanna see penelope and xi gundam in action, they are awesome

Or have haro be the main protagonist 1st choice for me

i have never seen psychoro gundam or psycho haro in any stories, may be except for games

Or have another realistic series (in terms of realistic battles) like 08th ms team, dang that show is good.

Perhaps a rehash of the original MSG with updated animation and such. Otherwise another story involving the UC would please me just fine.
