Episode distribution I guess? I'm hoping for 26 episodes over 6 books so at least two books will get 5 episodes.

Confirmed via various TV stations to be 26 episodes long. Only summer series that's 2-cour.

It's been confirmed for that for some time, it's the only way they're gonna do the entire Second Season in one airing.
I just wonder what they'll do for the Third.

They (Karen and Tsukihi) are still listed as characters on the Second Season Website, so I imagine we'll see them at some point, even if it's just briefly (like in Bakemonogatari). (Otherwise for a more detailed novel answer, may need to go to Q&A.)

Ohh I see. I really do hope so. Though we saw her a ton in Nise I still haven't gotten quite enough. And yeah I might do that thanks.
