The trailer for this show made me pick up the manga which I was able to get through pretty fast, though I eventually ran into raws where I didn't know much of what is going on.

I am impressed by the first episode and it followed the manga pretty much to the letter though the whole piano sequence was new to me. Of course, that scene actually seemed like foreshadowing considering later events. The animation was also very impressive, particularly the first fight.

The opening looks like we'll be covering a lot of the material, though I wonder if they'll cut out some chapters.

Last night I read the 3 oneshots for Soul Eater manga and really got a taste of how closely they adapted the anime, at least episode one. Really cant wait to see episode 2 now from, if I can go by the manga. I'm also more intriqued by the characters and all their quirks, flaws, and redeming qualities.

I'm rather sad that it seems inevitable that the plot will diverge from the mange, but I guess it is unavoidable. Only twelve more chapters would be out by the time they reach the end.

I hope not, Dann. I dont know how many volumes there are, but lets hope if they do deviate, that its done well. I mean, its BONES, the guys responsible for FMA. Nothing wrong with bracing yourself for disappointment, but lets keep alittle faith that it'll turn out alright. Same goes for that other show.

I miswrote (and stealth-edited). There will be 12 more manga chapters coming out in the time it takes for the anime to air. That's what we're talking about.

oh ok...yeah after I came back, I thought I'd lost it for a moment. Thanks for the clarification.

It'd be a shame if this show only got 12 episodes, tho it'll be a real shame if they arent able to keep the quality and everything thru ep51, I'm not gonna get too worried until I see signs.

There are 11 out last I checked. And FMA was good, but overall the manga was better to me in how things went and it still isn't done yet. I hope what they come up with is good though.

I really doubt it actually. There is a whole lot to take care of still and the main villain hasn't really made an appearence since volume 6.
