What do you mean by "standard scenes" and "stuff like that", anyway?

Ah,m a useless picky comment: 6 o'clock is not "too early" of a schooll boy to be awake, no if he has to be seven at school (which time a japanese school begins, btw?). I know it is saturday, and I know it shouldn't be hard to the player figure that (as it was already 5 school days), but adding a "too early for a saturday/weekend" might be a good idea. I say that because it took me a moment to understand why 6 was "too early".

Pretty sure they start at eight-ish, given Kyon's alarm is set for 7:20.

By the way, the reason we're not posting anything involving that Hijack scene is because it contains REAL spoilers for the overall game... nor will it be viewable in the demo anyway, so...

It is not going to be viewable in the demo? I have the impression it was... It is better this way, tough. I was really finding strange you putting so much spoiler there.

So, for demo purpose, what happens if you get all Hijack Trigger? The trigger are still there right? So I suppose something still happen. Is the extra Bad End you talked about?

Yay! A new scene!

Once again, very good writing, Kaisos. I really like how you characterized Kyon's mother in this scene (very easy to see where he got his snark from

).

The whole "I AM HERE" part was a really nice touch. It added an additional creepiness factor to an already creepy situation, considering the mindscrewy scene that came before.

And speaking of creepiness

The headphones. They're possessed.

EDIT: While I was looking forward to the Hijack scene, I agree that it should not be accessible in the demo if it will be that spoilery.

On a similar note, however, are you going to refrain from posting scenes from Day 7 onwards on here (so people won't have the entire game spoiled for them)? Or will all the scenes in the final game be visible here?

I believe only the first week is going to be posted here. So, yeah, just up to Day6 (which will all there is going to be in the demo).

I believe after finishing the first week, Kaisos is going to rewrite all these scene (following Jintor's/scify's edits) to their final versions. And that is going to be the version that are in the demo. I hope the rest of the team can do our work in the meanwhile.

Huh? Kogetsu doesn't know about me... I know I've stated I'd use silver in the past if I were to do colored text, but what on earth are you talking about? Or maybe that's a lie... What silvery voice? We "shouldn't be trusted," after all... Even if there was one, I don't see what the problem is. But you can trust me... Would you care to explain?

We'll have to see. I want to shunt all work to the demo release after Day 6 is finished, but we'll see after that.

Not really, but I once had a dream where I woke up in my bed and shortly after that I woke up for real.

I also remember that there was something in that dream that wasn't supposed to be there if it wanted to be accurate.

Not only that, I get the feeling I’ve dreamed a dream very much like it before. But like all dreams you try desperately to remember, it quickly faded away. All that remains are a few tattered scraps. …The mournful love song fades into some bad American hip-hop song. I’m going to have to talk to Haruhi about her odd tastes in music. …Come to think of it. Shouldn’t the batteries have run out by now? The battery icon in the corner of the xPod’s screen is still completely full. … … …The more I listen to it, the more this hip-hop sounds like the chanting of cultists in a deep underground cavern. I AM HERE, they’re saying. I AM HERE. I AM HERE. I AM HERE. The image of five otherworldly characters flash into my brain, quick as lightning, and just as evanescent. And with the same quickness, some part of my brain connects the strange dream to this devilish music player, and I throw it and its headphones at the wall in revulsion. …Huh. I feel a lot better now. I can smell eggs cooking. Breakfast is being prepared. [Scene: Kitchen] As I passed her in the kitchen, my mother mentioned something about my waking up this early making the local news. I ignored her. Over breakfast, I asked my sister about dreams. Kyon: Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real? Sister: Hmm? Well, once I had a really real dream that you and me and Haruhi-san and everyone played baseball together. …That wasn’t a dream! That actually happened! Sister: No, I had a dream about it later on. We lost that time, though… the enemy team called in a giant— Kyon: Wait, so what you’re saying is that it felt real because some part of it actually happened? My sister swallowed her mouthful of rice before answering. Sister: Yup! Kyon: … So if it follows that my dream should have had some parts that were, in fact, real, then what does that mean? When did that happen? (I AM HERE.) Tanabata. That fateful Tanabata. The three-years-ago Tanabata. I must have been viewing that event from Haruhi’s perspective. It must have been because of those damned headphones. That’s the only halfway logical explanation. Although, some things don’t add up. I seem to remember talking to a girl… and now that I think of it, a girl struggling to carry someone… A girl who looks— Sister: Are you okay, Kyon-kun? Kyon: Yeah, I’m great. Feeling great. Sister: Oh! I forgot to tell you! Another really real dream I had was when I got to eat an entire mountain of cake! I woke up feeling pretty sick… Hold on, wasn't that just the time you ate half your last birthday cake in one sitting!? Sigh… I need to stop thinking so much about this. It was only a dream, after all. To forget, I offered to help my mother clean up the kitchen. She immediately reached for the phone and started dialing the newspaper. Once again, I ignored her and started washing the plates. When I got back to my room, though… the headphones were not where I threw them. Instead, they were on my pillow, the cord wrapped neatly around them. The xPod already turned on, waiting for me. I stretch out my hand. Somehow standard scenes always turn into stuff like this.
