First episode gave a pretty good impression to me, in fact more than just good, definitely something to follow with great interest.

I can see this anime has a potential to be a dramatic series.

It's like Kino's Journey because the Fox God needs to go to her place and they'll see lots of places. I'm hoping that this show would turn out great.

Very true statement there. No matter what happens his lifespan being incredibly short in comparison to how long she will be around for can't be forgotten.

Though if Horo is spreading the legends around who knows what kinds of things she'll be saying .

The OP just gets better the more I listen/watch it. I guess the song is just a "ballad," but it gives me a slight folky feel, a slight jazzy feel -- even a slight French feel. It reminds me of songs from the musical The Fantasticks and from the movie The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Les Parapluies de Cherbourg).

The singer, Kiyoura Natsumi 清浦夏実, is only 17, but has already acted on TV and has had collections of idol photos and a DVD. She did the OP to Sketchbook, too.

I have to say that the soundtrack of this show is a great asset in establishing the medieval / fantasy feel. While overall it is something i am unlikely to listen to on its own, it compliments the series greatly. I couldn't really wish for much more suitable soundtrack than we have here.

No, I was definitely thinking there was something wrong about that line the first time I heard it too. Not sure if it was intended that way or not.

I knew that was going to happen the instant he made that comment right before. Sat down on an empty bed, muttered that there's no way she could really be there (really exist, whatever depending on the translators), lays back and she's lying on the bed right next to him. I'm certain she was just waiting for the chance to pull that on him, too.

I like her. She has a dignity to her, but also a strong mischevious side as well.

I think that the Church would have a different opinion on that if they catch her.

And what exactly could they do to her? Burning at the stake requires the subject actually stick around to be burned, which she wouldn't have to. No idea how vulnerable she is to ordinary weapons, but I imagine she can keep herself from being hurt pretty well if she wants to.

Horo might be cute now, but she is actually a 20 foot tall wolf. If the church was coming after her, I think SHE'D have a different opinion on that.

Well, in the OP there is a scene of a huge wolf walking through the forest at night (with red eyes, optionally) and a lot of normal ones running towards ... given i don't believe this implies anything friendly, chances are we might just find out to some extent.

That scene really was great . I wouldn't put it past her to wait until he was relaxed then spring out and give him a heart attack . Probably first time in a long while she could interact with someone so might as well have fun with it.

Got a good image of her early in the episode when walking beside that kid. If the Church or anyone wants to take her on they better be prepared. No doubt she can get very serious if the situation calls for it.

As might be expected doesn't seem like Horo is the only giant wolf moving around. Though probably the only one looking that good with her great personality . Am curious what might be awaiting them up North. It's clearly been a long time since Horo was there.
