Stranger things have happened in this world, and stranger things will happen still. Be it far from me to pass up on a silly premise.

Well, they have an excuse for making an anime that looks like a Victoria Secrets catalog in every episode.

A helluva lot more than you have, I'm guessing - and plenty enough to recognize creative death throes when I see them.

But the problem is that this is the kind of anime that sells, studios usually go for anime like this because they are cheep and net a decent profit. Given how badly creative anime do, I'm glad for what we get.

There used to be room for both, however. That seems to be what's changing now.

There's still plenty of good shows, studios still make an effort to create something different just for the sake of doing something good, next season for example seems to have a high number of quality shows, specially for being summer. What worries me is that sales appear to be getting lower and lower for this kind of anime, some day producers might want to give up on anything remotely original.

Entertainment will always be full of people trying new things and always full of people giving new spins on the old things. What's changed is our perspective.

Wow. I clicked on this thread as I've thought that's the one about the upcoming Cobra title and it might be misspelled, but God, how hard I laughed at the plot-synopsis and the reactions!

Well then you would have obviously known that only this type of anime sells, that is why Gonzo almost died if it weren't for Strike Witches.
