Well, Kabuto may have pretty good skills, but I am not sure how powerful he is. We know that he is at least pre-timeskip Kakashi level. He may be powerful, but we haven't really been given any evidence to prove that he is still able to keep up with the more powerful characters. He couldn't even compete with post-timeskip Naruto. So, I think it would be safe to assume that Kabuto isn't on a level that would allow him to challenge Sauske. Plus, Kabuto has been showing signs that he is afraid of Sasuke. When Sasuke first arrived at Oro's place Kabuto was taken aback by his power. I don't know, I just don't see him picking a fight that he couldn't win. Hell, he wouldn't even fight Kakashi when he knew he had the upper hand. Yeah, i've changed my mind. Kabuto wouldn't challanege Sasuke.

It wasn't a sneaky tactic, it was an ambush. I don't see how it's different than Tsunade appearing before Oro and letting him think that she was intending to heal his arms. Oro being there didn't guarantee Kabuto's safety at all as he has seen first hand that Oro cares nothing about his subordinates.

For fighting a Sannin, I don't remember whether his comments came after he learned about Jiraiya's status or not. And, he might have learned about Jiraiya's weaknesses, if he had any, from Orochimaru. Not difficult to imagine.
Also, for Tsunade he already knew her weakness, so if it comes to a last blow, he was ready to counter. Again, not a big problem for him.

So we should assume that he knew Jiraiya's weakness and if he had not known Tsunade's weakness he wouldn't have fought her ?

For Sasuke, he may not have the guts, but still, this is Kabuto. He might know something that Oro might be forced to ignore by Kishi. In other words, another sneaky tactic. Also, unlike Oro he wouldn't mind giving damage to Sasuke's body despite getting serious damage himself, if it is going to help free Oro.

This statement I pretty much agree with. We don't entirely know the level of devotion Kabuto has to Oro. He appears to be very cautious about his own well-being, but he might very well be as reckless with his life as Kimimaro if the situation ever came down to it. With Oro gone, who knows how he'd react. I'll still note though, that the spoiler doesn't have Kabuto challenging Sasuke straightforward to a fight.

But meh. It's probably not the correct spoiler anyway.

It just seems to me that the majority of the strongest characters in naruto have different eys, so it would only make sense up until now for kabuto to be one of them

"On a rainy day, someone appears at the gates of Konoha.
Naruto has resumed his training. His training with the rasenshuriken has increased his level of chakra control one or two levels over the others in the rest of the village, if I get it correctly. He becomes able to do a single rasengan fine (could mean doing it with just one hand, isntead of with a clone) by itself, Naruto has totally mastered Fuuton and aims to perfect the Fuuton Rasengan. The one who appears at Konoha is revealed to be Suigetsu. He hands out a message to Tsunade from Sasuke. Sasuke is fightning/battling someone, and as he does this says "I'll see all jutsus you have!" which reminds Kabuto (dunno if he's just a spectator or Sauske's opponent here through) of Orochimaru."

Maybe Zabuza's sword contains what is left of his skill with water style jutsu. Or maybe even Zabuza's soul was fused in the sword and enhances water style jutsu and Sasuke plans to have Suigetsu take on Kisame while he attacks Itachi.

He attacked Sasori in a surprise attack and had there Oro to make it a 1 vs 2, where Oro would be the main opponent of Sasori. Kabuto and Oro could be like Sakura and Chiyo were.

He fought a medical ninja sannin, also knowing her weaknesses and that she was inactive for many years. When Tsuande overcame her weaknes and remembered how she has to fight Kabuto had to retreat and she was fighting with Oro. Kabuto would never dare to fight Oro or Jiraiya, they are on a completely different level.

He is a medical ninja, and just like Tsunade he has his own very special taijutsu style. He is also good at genjutsu (putting asleep a whole stadium. However against Sasuke there is NO chance with taijutsu (remember the 1000 ninja) or genjutsu (remember Oro). So Kabuto's only chance would be high level ninjutsu (like Kakuzu's style), but Kabuto has no such abilities, of course if Kishimoto does not decide that Kabuto should be upgraded with some serious ninjutsu. But i think that would be out of his sneaky character. So yes, Kabuto should know that he has absolutely no chance against Sasuke. And he is smart enough to not commit suicide

It happened in the "forest of Death" stage of the Chuunin exams. Kabuto was cornered by 3 ninja, he looked up, and the whites of his eyes were red. One of those things that haven't really been explained yet.

So far I like the second one, but since Kabuto already figured out Oro was alive, and sasuke said he took over instead of killed him (pluss kabuto wouldn't fight oro OR sasuke) that pretty much means it's made up. Too bad(it was really good!).

Seems like Kabuto is the most desired henchmen in the entire Narutoverse, very handy to have an uber medical specialist.
