Well, don't forget that Soul Eater is a shonen manga. Most shonen series have young main characters that surpass and defeat enemies that technically should "outrank" them. I can't really think of a shonen series I've read that doesn't have this theme.

Yeh I know... But I really don't like it in shonen

Especially if manga is ment for someone at age 16 or something like this.
For kids, yes it is great! I myself was happy to see kids kicking adults asses in the past but right now it is irritating

But damn! Sorry for whining so much but this chapter was a big dissapointment. A guy who works for Noah and who has to be strong, appeared to be damn lame and weak -_-

Maka once again got overpowered... just what the hell? Why on earth is she flying so fast and is able to do so many things at once? Standing on scythe, attacking... wasn't she damn slow just moment ago when she was flying with Kim?
Really... BJ wo has lots of experience was killed so easily, but now they can't place a single hit on a single girl -_-

At least one good thing... I got to see Medusa and Chrona, next chapter must be better.
I wonder what did Medusa say as well as Chrona. Probably nothing good.

Summary is up for those who don't know jipjop.

Good chapter overall, and I'm actually quite surprised that Noah lived through the fight with Maka, but I doubt he's going to live much longer. I'm also glad that Medusa is now making her move, because I was afraid that this was gonna turn into a "villain of the week" formula where Noah continues to send his cronies to kill Maka... since he really isn't doing anything else of importance at the moment. At the same time I was kind of hoping to see Justin and Giriko in action, but looks like they'll be put in the backburner for Team Medusa and a possible reunion of Crona and Maka. Now that I think about it... I want to see Team Noah vs. Team Medusa.That would be rad.

Medusa vs. Noah
Crona vs. Gopher
Giriko vs. Free
Justin+Clown vs. Eruka+Mizune

Also I think you guys are being a little too rough on Gopher. I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for him, and his :< face is just as amusing as any of Crona's faces, plus it made him look like an actual Gopher in one panel.

And there is nothing about the cover, no? except that Kid appears with his shinigami cloak and the sisters...

You can't complain that Maka got overpowered. She is using a Death Scythe for the first time right now after all, so the power up should be more than expected. This seems like a good chapter, can't wait for the translation.

Alright, you have convienced me about Death Scythe thingy, but still he could place at least one or 2 hits.
Even Black Star got all choped up when fighting Mifune.

Spoiler for 65?: ..via babel fish I think some of the summaries involved Gopher losing and having to face Noah about it, and possibly more Kidd fanservice as the word "fanservice" was mentioned off and on in summaries. Granted it is babel fish and most of the way it was translated was pretty much unreadable. Looks like theres still no Chrona, but then again these fansites are rly Kidd biased, plus all this information could be wrong and for all I know these could just be theories/etc that just happened to be posted today, but i saw no reason not to post it for people who are excited about the chapter. Edit: actually i read in another summary that Kidd again doesnt appear in the chapter, but Medusa starts making her move at the end. Turns out the cover for volume 15 also has Kidd & co in their new unis o i wanna seeee~

Maka was slow last chapter cuz she wasn't serious and this is an established pattern from her (shifting from looking helpless to badass when she has to) so that's nothing new either. I wasn't able to take Gopher seriously at all previously, so not too surprised he turned out like he did. And now we know Noah made the guy I expect even less from him (except way moah tantrums!) I don't expect that much from Noah because everything about him is made of fail from the get go. He stole someone else's powers (and name!) and has only gotten to where he is because of it. That doesn't suggest a villain who is very strong in his own right and is probably why he's holed up instead of doing his dirty work himself. He's got some bad stuff up his sleeve but he's still empty inside (if that makes sense).
