this may be the wrong place to post it, but I think it's good to get the attention of DYD fans. I just started a teaser project for another of Kagami's works: Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi. You can find it on the teaser page of B-T. Btw, an anime has already been confirmed late last year, though I'm not sure when the airing date would be.

As you've probably noticed, I've been somewhat busy lately. It's the last stretch of the school year for me, so I'm going to be taking a bit of a break. I'll still try to get Sion Note vol.5 done within the month though.

Greetings, joining the thread because I am a fan of Takaya Kagami ever since I've watched the anime.

I read the novels mainly in Chinese translations. Currently finished reading all 11 volumes of Denyuuden, and up till volume 9 of DaiDenyuuden. Haven't started on the other "side stories" (Black Fallen Hero etc), but plan to do it soon.

I've purchased and is currently reading Tenma Usagi, up till volume 5 as well.

Hope to have a good time and nice discussions here. Cheers.

*cough* announcement: no promises, but next update from me is tentatively planned to be in August. yeah it's going to be long, but I'm focused on Itsuten now, for various reasons =). If you're bored, please check out Itsuten, also by Kagami. It's interesting in its own way =).

Not really. Kiefer is totally devoted to Ryner, and expresses her love so openly that Toale don't really have the chance to confess. Toale basically gave up on the love.

Both Pia and Peria are basically "childhood friends" of Ryner. They came from the same academy as him (Germer Kleisrole Institute).



Pia Vaaliey is born with nearly uncontrollable magic potential, and the traits of her kind is her azure blue hair and ruby red eyes. Condition is roughly translated as "Congenital Magic Abnormality". Most people with the condition cannot control their powers, and are usually overwhelmed and engrossed in it to the point where they are not able to interact and communicate with anyone else. Pia, however, seems not to suffer from the same fate by having excellent self control, although she is still very impatient, a typical personality that such people have.

She escaped from the institute after overwhelming everyone there (even the teachers) with her magical talents, and went on to form her own mercenary group, somehow obtaining the Rule Fragmes in the process. Has a rather haughty and S character, and seems to like Ryner a lot, though at this point it is still uncertain how she really feels about Ryner.



Peria seems to be an experimental subject of Roland's past human experiments. Lost all his 5 senses, but in exchange, has some sort of absolute barrier surrounding him, in which he can detect anything. He can also use the barrier to "listen" to human speech from a distance away from himself. Left with Pia when they were young as he is in love with her. He's the golden haired guy in the picture.

what I think she meant was whether they will appear in the next chapter, and the answer is yes.

Also, you've said that you've read 堕ちた黒い勇者の伝説 which is an arch of the story I'm highly interested in! I don't know the particulars of what happened in that arch of the story... just the end result (obviously ^_^). I have been looking at the manga that's posted monthly on square-enix, but all I'm doing is really just looking at the pictures (and some really really slow translations) so I lose a lot of what is actually going on. What was your take on that particular arch of the story??

Haha, I'll definitely be back after the beginning of May.

After reading Sion Note vol.6 though, I can safely say that if we were to do a Super Weight of Denyuuden, Ryner Eris Reed would be level 5 Author Weight, no questions asked.

He can change the freaking structure of the world with a simple wave of the hand, and disintegrate dozens of high-tier Goddesses in a split second without even batting an eye. Keep in mind that these are the same ones that were pwning Sion not so long ago.
