i thought Namikaze was his clan name as most last names are in this show

I can see how people would easily misinterpret this jutsu as being the "Janet Reno no jutsu". But back on the topic at hand, what's with the extra bodies? Can Pein control more than one at a time metaphysically?

yeah you know the fact that they are both wearing akatsuki robes and peircings kinda makes you think one thing. Sheesh lay off with your know-it-all statements, the chapter didn't come out yet, no one knows, but judging from the hair style of one of them (identical to his right now) it might as well be his other bodies..pein's other bodies seems to be the most logical choice, i dont see the point of having bodies that you can summon that for some reason just happen to be wearing pain stlye clothing

that may be true but still possible they pull out the busshins again from others that have perished to be used as the sacrafice.... I could be wrong but its still possible

...I said they MIGHT just be summons. Sheesh? Yeah SHEESH lay off when I wasn't being a know-it-all. You're the one already assuming they're his other bodies.

The problem with that technique is that chakra has to be transferred into the clones. Kisame and Itachi each sacrificed 30% of their chakra into one clone. If Pein didn't want to be completely diminished of chakra, those clones would each have less than 1/6 of Pein's total chakra. Their techniques wouldn't be very effective. Plus it was implied that some kind of concentration/meditation (when we see Itachi and Kisame sitting on the mountaintop) is needed from the original for the transformed clones to fight.

They are probably Pein's other bodies. If Pein's current body is the "summoning body", then his other bodies might specialize in particular jutsu also. Looking forward to seeing what abilities they have.

that is possible. even thought he was suprised to see that she was in akatsuki. but it is possible that they never met each other face to face or showed their true identity. i think that maybe konan really doesn't like pein's plans but chooses to stay by him because she is in love with him. but at the same time leaks info in order to stop him

I think Sannin Mode is a misconception. I find it hard to believe there is a "Sannin Mode" that the frogs know how to do. Sannin means master. Master mode????.... Not only that but Sannin is merely a title that Hanzou gave Jiraiya, Orochi and Tsunade.

Not "Sannin" mode. "Sennin" (hermit) mode. And Sannin means "three shinobi" not "master".
