Some of the boxing forums where I go to are down. That was big win to 'cause some forums to go down. We need more fighters like Manny in the boxing circuit. He fights and trains like the old boxers do.

Next up is Mayweather Vs Marquez, this should be a corker, winner gets Manny and will be crowned as the best pound for pound boxer this decade. |

Manny did some exceptional boxing to floor Hatton, though I can only be proud for Hatton to only loose to the two great pound for pound fighters. The facts are that Hatton is not the fighter he was, unfortunately age and lifestyle have come to show up his limited fighting style, were as Manny is just improving fight by fight.
Again, well done Manny and hopefully he can progress onwards. |

How things happened there looked like straight out of "Casey at the Bat": so many expectations of winning, then an unexpected defeat in one fell swoop. One of biggest letdowns I've seen in this episode was that two local TV channels (as a partnership) decided to milk the whole event for all of its worth by shoving massive amounts of advertising to delay the telecast as much as possible. The result? The local telecast ended about 3 hours after Pacquiao's actual victory. As for the prize money of $12 million, at the exchange rate of Php47 to a dollar, that comes to about half a billion pesos (which is really a lot of money at home). May I hope that this prize money be spent properly. A toast to the victor, Manny Pacquiao, despite some shortcomings. Long after the bout has been finished, I will never forget that Hatton-dedicated fan-made mantra of a song like straight out of a football match.

That was a great fight!
Pacquiao is the best in his weight class! He is quick and strong! In his last fight a lot of people said that he just won because De LaHoya was old. Now he shuts all their mouths! It hurts! Now he knows it! |

We all know Mayweather Sr. talks and boast too much even in his career as a boxer. Probably the reason why there was a close door on how Hatton/Manny trained in 24/7.
Also when I saw 24/7 when Hatton was talking to his son on the cell I think he's more of a father now than a boxer since he's almost in tears when talking to his son, on the other hand when I saw Manny staying up late even his tired after his training just to see his mother, what I saw there is a son and a boxer at the same time.

Manny trains like crazy. i heard that he goes up in the mountains and trains up there where it is harder to breath. he is very old school that way.
i never thought he would floor him like that. Hatton was out before he hit the ground. i can not wait to see Manny vs Mayweather. that is going to be some event. that one is quite hard to call, as much as i favor Manny but Mayweather's style is picking apart an oppenent and that could work for him against Manny as Manny is sort of a getting in there style from what i have seen.

Mayweather is the pound for pound king no question. Best this generation
We'll see how the two years works for him. However, pacquiao's punches are not going to connect and he always gets exposed with a counter puncher and pbf is infinitly more techical than Marquez. Let me put it this way, when mayweather was pound for pound there was no dispute, however marquez claims he's the #1 pfp. So bottom line if floyd get back to his best, no chance for manny. No chance |

He actually legitmately broke Big Show's nose a couple of weeks earlier. I guess he doesn't know to hold back when going off a script.
