It seems that we get a pretty good idea how Cybuster uses the Akashic Record and how Akashic Buster works in this game.
The dialogue for Akashic Buster tells us that Masaki scans the target's Akashic Record and then proceed to delete the target's Record with Akashic Buster. Cybuster's OS is the Laplace Magic Computer(LMC), people translate the 'Magic' as 'Demon' because they have the same kanji, but in actuality it means magic. It is a computer that runs on the pilot's Prana, like all machines and devices on La Gias, they are all magic. In fact, the opening quote for Masaki's route is Arthur C. Clarke's famous quote: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." What makes LMC unique is that it runs on the Akashic Record itself, the record of the totality of all existence. Various enemies have been trying to capture Cybuster because of this ability, the ability to tap into destiny itself and control all space and time. But Masaki is not strong enough to fully tap into this potential yet, he does not have enough Prana and will power to fully access the Akashic Record. On an average day, the most Masaki could do is scan a target with the LMC and find its data on the Akashic Record and then delete it with massive amounts of his Prana using Akashic Buster. This is similar to Astranagants Infinity Cylinder and Dis Astranagant's Ein Soph Aur, which also deletes existence itself. But if Masaki under goes Full Spirit Possession with Cybuster, it creates a process where Cybuster's Elemental Spirit Syphis exchanges Prana with Masaki in a feedback loop that amplifies their combined Prana. More Prana basically means more power output but at the same time it allows Masaki to tap deeper into the Akashic Record to get a glimpse of events in the future. Basically the LMC comes with a search engine that can search the Akashic Record and allows Masaki to play around with it to a certain extent. Various villians such as Euzeth Gozzo of Alpha1 who know the full potential of LMC believe that they can access any event on the Akashic Record and delete or modify them, essentially making one a god.

Place your unit carefully. Relationship boost matters in this game. If you know people are couples, then be sure to put them together.
Also, feel free to upgrade your mechs in the EX portion. Those who won't return with you to the surface, you get a refund of of their upgrade. Unit with A in air became rare, so you'll be finding your units mostly on the ground. Masaki, Tutti, Presia, Mio, Ryune, Yan-Long, and Zash's combine kill count during the EX portion determines whether they get their new weapons after rejoining. Masaki route requires a combine kill of 100, Ryune route requires 75. Starting on Masaki route is easier (choose not to go to Hiryu at the first path split). |

How's the skill point in this games mostly consist of? One thing that dissapoint me a little bit on Z games was that the skill point mostly consist of rushing the stage instead of more variability in earlier alpha(escorting NPC without getting damaged, kill boss who run above certain high hp threshold, etc.)
I think the last OG games mostly consist pf rush and high hp threshold only, but how about this game? |

Since my lack of money and a PS3 I most likely won't be able to play this for long time, I am just wondering how much of Ibis's story is told. Is it changed from Alpha 2? Or did they changed it?

So uh... I'm now stuck in stage 44 to get the SR point. The boss wouldn't let his support defender to die since he'll escape after we kill both of them.. and my damage to actually damage him. Not to mention that my Granzon can only attack him in the fifth turn since I couldn't reach him fast enough.
Anyone got some tips?
