Spoiler for Nuke'em:
Well, if the cradle is somehow related to the Relics, then it must be liek a Lost Logia, built by an ancient civilization that used magic (or something smililar to that)... We'll see, eventually...

Caps for the capless
http://blog.seiha.org/?p=241 Kind of a dull setup episode IMO. The Vivio and Ginga things were fairly obvious from the get go. I still want to see Due... who I'm sure will end up being Reg's secretary anyway... and the Einherjar, dammit. |

Yes it does make you wonder why a non-magical ship needs a magical child to power it... Unless it has some anti-magic defenses powered by her? Hmmm...
And Deathkillz winz for having Tear in her sig

I'm talking about obvious drawbacks which normally wouldn't allow such technology to be developed at all before the moment it could be banned. Using a living being as a system's part which has absolutely no need for its consciousness is obviously inconvenient, unreliable and what not. Still waiting for a good explanation though, but I doubt there'll be one.
