Typical thing . The dad always works and can't give some moments for his daughter . The mom died and he always go work .
Well , not very outrageous when you look at the firsts story with Kanzaki etc ...

I still wish the focus would be on someone else, not Miki. -_- Ah well.

Where is my beloved Urumi in this sequel? I'm so sad. She and Onizuka totally belong together.

On that note, I think the most interesting kid so far is the girl being abusec. She reminds me of Toroko, and I don't remember any other kids in the original series having abusive parents. Hopefully it ends up being a really interesting arc.

There was that, but it's "Ah , the others miss me ..." that gave you away. You meant to say "I miss the others" but you translated it straight from French (ils me manquent?) so the messed up word order showed you up. I remember that expression used to confuse me so much in French class.

Back on topic, I miss Urumi too. My last hope, that Onizuka would develop a new "posse" involving the kids of White Swan, has been sunk by the recent chapters focusing exclusively on Miki. wait the old kids are gone???? wouldn't that pretty much suck? Onizuka was a great character but his supporting cast is what really brought out his best qualities!!! gah i don't think I could read this spinoff/sequel knowing that urumi, and the entire crew were not back, guess its back to rereading classic gto

Personally , this Shonan14days don't impress me . Its just viewable but not very entertaining .
Hope it ends up faster with Miki's story then pass to others's problems .

If I recall correctly, the current event happnes before the end of GTO(around after the brawl with the psycho math teacher). That's why even Miyabi's not shown in the first chapter.

Somehow I knew Fujisawa wouldn't be able to continue the story this week. Shonan 14 days strikes me as a story that wasn't planned out very far in advance.

He should just make another Shounan Junai Gumi manga. Now that was a very entertaining one. Better than GTO, imo.
