well who would expect it too have a 2nd season knowing it when you watch it. I was also surprised when I saw the thread here in AS.

I don't watch this show, so I didn't really care myself, but it seems it hasn't been reported yet...

It seems season 2 will be only 8 episodes...
...Eh?

I thought that was posted in this thread already lol. But yeah, I wonder why it's only 8 and not the usual 12-13? Not enough manga material? It's unfortunate as well, since this show has brought me the most laughs I've had from watching an anime since Kannagi. Oh well, better than not having any new episodes at all I suppose.

8 episode? it's not even one cour. It's more like an ova if only 8 episodes.

Not really since it's airing weekly.

I heard is that it is because the DVD/BD sold poorly. It was originally planned to be a split 2-cour, but because it sold so poorly, they decided to cut the 2nd cour short.
Is one theory I read about.

I'm not surprised at those sales, the manga itself isn't too popuar either. This studio is really putting their all into a series that isn't in the major league of popular Japanese fiction. Not that that's bad.

Aw...8 episodes...seems season 2 will only be a short OVA if that happens. I wonder if they'll insert some original stuff in this new season?

Also btw how are the ratings of season1? Besides the poor dvd sales

"Late night" doesn't mean "free from the station's broadcast codes".

Late night anime are late night because they're niche, not necessarily because they feature adult content; there are plenty of 2:00 AM anime that are fine for family audiences (K-ON!! comes to mind). Japanese television works a lot differently than American television, on which late night programming is either adult oriented or unpopular/past its prime.

The time on japanese time slot is bugging me for ages but I didn't ask but

how can they watch it if it's too late?

My school and work is for morning so I'm always awake at night but that's abnormal on most cases. I just can't figure it out.

Either stay up that late (if they're dedicated enough) or TiVO (or their equivalent of such) it and catch it in the morning. The technology of the modern age at work.

Not to mention that much of intended audience of late night anime are NEET-ish...

lol again naturally.

They think kids get up to watch these animes.

Laws really.

Anyways I'll be waiting for the second season with full heart. This is one of best comedy animes I've watched and it tackles kids innocence and adolescences on how they grow with stupid adults like Yabe-chi.
