Sounds pretty nasty. I remember trying a weird soda over there like watermelon flavor and it was pretty bad.

Ahhh... that's one sided. Personally I don't really like Coke (coca-cola), it has too much fizz. Pepsi has some too, but less. I don't like waiting 30 seconds after pouring 5oz into my cup for it to fizz down. Though I do love their Cherry coke. But I don't really drink too much carbonization. Cherry flavor makes every carbonated soda taste better.

Mountain Dew + Cherry Flavor = Code Red
Pepsi + CF = pepsi with cherry flavor
coca cola + CF = Cherry Coca Cola.

ps: Ya remember that pepsi blue or what ever it was called? Ahhh... that sure was a horrible drink ^_^

I informed somebody I know from another forum, who is currently in Japan, and he went n tried it. Had this to say:

Finally had a taste of the cucumber pepsi today. Let's just say it's not bad, its tastes sweet and decent but if you think about the after taste for a while, it has a very very small after taste of mint? perhaps like the listerine dissolving things.

But I wouldn't buy it again I think.

I dunno. I think I'd try it.

Tried it earlier and on the first day it came out; some of us went to the convenience store and bought some bottles to see who in the office would drink it.

Not bad, I thought, and Asai's friend's comment on it having an aftertaste of mint is, IMHO, dead on.

I'm just glad that the whole Final Fantasy Potion trend never really caught on. I'd much rather give this Cucumber Ice a try than say, a FF Potion II. Ack.

The only pepsi I drink is the cola+lemon one... and that's pretty rare, 'cause I'm not very fond of soda.

The guy from akihabaranews.com tried the Cucumber Ice drink and said it was awful. No taste, only sugar. The Japanese who bought it probably did it out of curiosity and will never try it again XD

I am one who will try any new flavors of coke or pepsi when they come out, though I'm more a coke fan. If this actually was cucumber flavored I'd drink it, cucumbers are pretty good when it is warm out.

Also anyone else miss vanilla coke a lot? And did pepsi discontinue vanilla pepsi?

yes, one of the websites that talked about this, pointed out it wasn't really cucumber-flavored (neither natural nor artificial) but 'had a taste that suggested cucumber goodness' or something like that.
