Playstation Plus is a ridiculously good value if you like trying out a large variety of games, so it's not all bad. Check out the latest free games and discounts and see if it'd be worthwhile for you right now.

Don't worry, it is a small minor. There are plenty of free games online as well their are other games that you have to pay for, but they are great to play. I just downloaded the Jak and Daxter trilogy and it is addicting, brings me back to the good of days of no responsibilities.

Sooooo.... the games they mentioned are massive multiplayer world games. And they'll be always online. You can play alone, but you'll needed to be connected to do so.
So, exactly like any multiplayer world game that has existed for over a decade. Good to know.

These guys are pretty bad. Not only did they not note that theses always-online games use the none-too populous MMO model, but they went "it's the future", implying that any gamers that don't have reliable internet can take a hike.
That's really too bad. You'll still have free multiplayer for most (all?) free-to-play games and media functions though. For you, the paid-only multiplayer games will be restricted to just retail games. It still sort of sucks though.

The division + the crew always online = all next gen games people will play are always online. Then there's their "pros" point on always online. Play anywhere is simply not true, especially for console-only games. At the end of the day you are NOT going to be able to play any next gen games on your phone (LOL they seriously suggested this?) or even on an ipad (on the bus, huh?). Yea sure, go play a console-only game on your iphone/ipad using touch screen. Lets not even talk about playing always online console-only games on the PC (because clearly PC gamers get all the games thanks to always online, right?). At best you could do minor stuff like manage your resources or play a mini-game on your mobile devices, but them seriously suggesting access to the actual games via mobile devices? Brilliant (fail) logic there. |
