There's really nothing wrong with experience gaining or item gaining DLC. It's not required, it doesn't change the story any, and you aren't required to purchase it. Or does other people being able to beat a game that they otherwise wouldn't somehow diminish its quality? Don't pull an elitist card here, we aren't talking about multiplayer games or anything.

Edge Meltdown, I don't think you're naive, I think people are generalizing this one category of digital goods into an "always a bad thing" concept.

Of course since most DLC is slapped on 60$ titles (or more, if you buy special packs) and given that titles going for more then 60$ is mortal sin, the perspective of it lowering the price is very foggy and DLC has a pretty bad reputation at the moment. And don't get me wrong, I do think that if you're going to go for the 60$ price you should make damn sure you keep to your budget and don't need DLC at all, and especially not launch DLC (unless it's a port, and the other system had DLC, in which case it's preferred if the DLC is integrated or available).

The naivety was hoping/believing that more time to develop games would lead to a decrease in DLC due to having time to put them on the disc. That would be true for some free DLC, but most DLC is DLC because they can make more money. Has nothing to do with time. And this statement is beyond "good" or "bad", it's about "money". I'm not stating validity, just reality.

In my defense I did explain how, in a sense, it was all about money.

Well yeah it breaks the game. Game was easy anyway, DLC isn't needed at all. Not even for Lunatic+ but it sure makes you far less of a masochist on Lunatic+ if you have DLC as it was poorly balanced early on in the game.

An 80 million user base that's how it makes sense. Sony will not just abandon the PS3.
Also Kazunori has not ruled out a PS4 version of GT6. It will come. http://www.officialplaystationmagazi...-next-gen-gt6/ http://gematsu.com/2013/06/ps4-gran-...turally-appear |

The same reason Pokemon White/Black Version 2 came out for the DS instead of the 3DS: you make more money of an engine you already have and you reach a wider number of potential buyers

Glad I got my pre-order in on Amazon before the "Pre-order" button was even available (had to click "available from these sellers", choose amazon, and proceed from there). Even if I don't want to keep it this early in the cycle, seems like it may be an easy flip.
