Most epic part of the episode is

Sheryl: Ranka-chan, if you are the the songstress of hope then I will sing in the midst of despair.

I'll have to rewatch before having more thoughts.

P.S. This was in the shelter when everyone else was freaking out about how the vajra were still around.

Sheryl was so awesome in the shelter scene it's not even funny. Must say, this episode made me really unhappy with Ranka. Must agree with SymphonicRain about her.

Wow. Sad episode. I knew Michael had a high chance of buying the farm, but I hoped against hope that he'll survive. At least he went out in an epic way. Time to do a requiem AMV.

Sheryl was epic this episode. Between the slap and the shelter scene, she was truly brilliant.

This episode really is a 10 but I subtracted 2 points for them offing Michael (which means Klan will probably die gloriously before the series end as well ).

Sigh. 7 more days to next dose.

Nanase dying would have been a big catalyst for Ranka's character development. But noo, she must continue to mope in the plot until the story ends.

Yeah, Ranka is below SDF Minmay right now for me in terms of dislike. Pathetic. Sheryl showed again why people love her. In the face of despair, or because of it, she does what she has to do. Epic.

When she sang she didn't sing with her heart in it. In fact, she was still emo and moping over the Sheryl and Alto thing. So her fold waves were a mess and caused the Vajra to go into a frenzy and swarm.

The scene was never about the triangle resolve.. Vajra come to town.. Ranka chicken out .. Alto beg her to sing .. then Sheryl slapped her

Ranka was crying and throwing a temper tantrum ala Minmei and got slapped by Sheryl. It was awesome. Alas, Ranka was still out of it when she did sing. She just couldn't pull herself together to use the song.
