Guilty pleasures

So is there any song/band/artist that no one expects that you like but you can't get enough of? It's alright, don't need to be embarrassed.

(looks around...)

Spoiler for music:

Phil Collins made some great stuff. 70's Genesis, wooo!

As for the actual thread... I dunno I'm not really ashamed by any music I listen to.

Lady Gaga.

I want to hate her....but I can't.
Her music like, brain-washes me or something lol.
Also she intrigues me as a person. She's so weird.

I love the music & beats itself but her lyrics are too trashy for my liking :P

the music is perfect work music IMO and I can easily listen to it for days when working
Only when I work do I listen to it (and by that just working behind a pc, doing paperwork or animations) if I would listen to it when doing something else I would go insane from all the bouncing and happiness

I'll say Buono!, Arashi ande NEWS are my biggest guilty pleasure.

Not that people don't expect me to like them. I am the correct age and gender to like Johnny Entertainment's boy bands. I got addicted to Weeeek after hearing the nandemonai dance meme. I liked Arashi after Hana Yori Dango live action. NEWS are a little better when it comes to singing, they at least sing their solo lines. Arashi? I've been trying to find a live clip of them actually singing, never found one. Hopefully them at Kohaku this year, I'll be able to listen to them LIVE. (Oh it pisses me off when they have Tokyo Dome concerts and STILL lipsync...;~. But but but, these guys actually act gay with each other, I can't help but fangirl....

Buono! is just 3 girls who are younger then me, and look cute. It makes me cry that they're so darn cute. Their dancing are the cutest thing ever, they're pretty easy to copy too. The songs are easy to sing along. Their rock arrangement is definitely one of the reasons I love their songs compared to other Hello Project stuff. Buono! sings decent for idols, I'm not asking much from idols.

Oh, every single song that is related to Kirarin Revolution is addicting. AND ALL OF THEM GOT BAD VOCALS. When I say bad, it's even bad when it's the CD version, Koharu's live is absolutely awful. I am glad that she lipsyncs 99% of the time.

Oh add character songs from fujoshi related series. Reborn and Hetalia character singles are the biggest examples. I just have a smile on my face even when listening to it on the bus.

Ingrid Michaelson - The Way I Am

Came across this track on my friend's IPod . Its very soothing and melodious from the word go kinda the ones you listen to with a mug of hot coffee . I had heard of Ingrid but her later works are too commercial ones the ones which aired on TV .The innocent bubbly appeal is lost in later of her songs . This is from one of her first singles back to her Indie/Bohemian/Experimental roots . The clapping beat is what first got me hooked on to her almost reminded of Meja but less rustic .

Simplicity of the lyrics is almost childlike but direct and sweet nonetheless . Yeah the double clap beat is too hard to resist, Here is the track

Ingrid Michaelson - The Way I Am

If you were falling, then I would catch you.
You need a light, I'd find a match.
Cuz I love the way you say good morning.
And you take me the way I am.

If you are chilly, here take my sweater.
Your head is aching, I'll make it better.
Cuz I love the way you call me baby.
And you take me the way I am.

Cuz I love you more than I could ever promise.
And you take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am
You take me the way I am.

My Chemical Romance, people say it's emo but I beg to differ. To me, it's more like pop-punk than anything but I don't see people approving it around me so I listen to it on my own time.

Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. I always have this song stuck in my head at least once a week.
I love the song itself, just not when I'm getting Rick Roll'D

He cleans up really nice, actually looks like a star than a toad . Also Rick is a sweet guy when asked about RickRolling his reply was his only concern was that "daughter doesn't get embarrassed about it" . Not really fond of the original but love this version . Esp the I Should be so Lucky .. Lucky in Love part at 3.00 Onwards .

It's OK, because Rick Rolled is stupid anyway...

I've been slowly starting to like Taylor Swift...Which is funny, because I hate country with a passion, and even swore off Kid Rock's recent stuff when he started going country, breaking everything I liked about him for almost a decade, and sounded like suck...But I kind of like Swift's voice...
