Everyone else's character can probably be matched in English. Kyon's I'll especially be looking forward to, as sarcasm comes across quite a bit better in English than in Japanese.

why are you all panicking already...no company has licensed it for dubbing and north american release yet..unless ANN's info is out of date

Strangely, one of the fandubs I heard wasn't too bad, especially the one who did Haruhi's voice. She's the one who did the Redbull parody.

It's the curiosity that scares me. If it gets licensed and dubbed, I (and many other people probably) would be curious as to who and what the voice actress for Mikuru sounds like. Okay so I have been skipping episode 9 (14) all the way to near the end.
The actual episode order I looked through is like this:
(11) (1) (2) (7) (3) (9) (10) (8) (4) (5) (12) (13)
I somehow convinced myself this was the way for me.
Now I need to watch the real episode (14) and (6)
But which one should I watch first?

Should I end the story with the real ending or the....ehr...ending?
Or should I just roll the dice and see?
Any recommendations?

There's 2 obvious and correct ways to watch the show, follow either Haruhi or Kyon's episode orders, which they are always arguing during episode previews.

With the path I have taken, I'm afraid neither Haruhi nor Kyon can help me. ^^;;
I'm leaning to neither side atm. so I just though I'd ask for you guys' input before rolling the dice

haruhi's episode orders (the way they were broadcasted) are the more fun and interesting way.....and it was obviously done so that the final episode would be uber climactic

if you were to watch them in their proper chronological order (kyon's way) it just wouldn't pack the same punch..

One day someone will decide to watch the episodes in order of a Random Number Generator or a Dice Roll. (They don't make d14s, do they? I suppose one could use a standard d12 and designate a definite start and end episode.)

Repeats will be rerolled, or simply rewatched. Might be interesting.

Someone has already tried that lol, iamandragon stacked all the episodes in the media player and played them shuffled and repeating.

I'm not sure if I want to try that though, its kinda crazy lol

Seriously, I've been answering this question all over the internet, probably close to 30 times. Right now I just copy and paste this lines when someone asks the question:

Yup, and it makes it more fun when you go though and watch in the correct order and pick up all the little hints through the show that you missed the first time. I'm re-watching now as it happens and just picked up on something in the baseball ep (7 by Haruhi and 4 by Kyon). Just after Haruhi forces Mikuru to get dressed up in cheerleading gear, she makes the comment:

"It might go better with a ponytail."

Just after that she glances at Kyon, scowls, and drops Mikuru's hair again.

8 episodes later and the end of the series we finally find out what this seemingly random gesture by Haruhi meant, after Kyon spills the beans on his ponytail fetish
