hello everyone.

First I want to say that I managed to get episodes in japanese of Remi, last time I could'nt post the french versions for policy reasons, but now we will see not one but two episodes of "Remi, the nobody's boy" in the original version with it's original language (and without cuts, believe it or not)

check on animesuki tomorrow

Hm if this is the same series, there was a dutch version of this ages ago broadcast on TV... "Remi, alleen op de wereld" (Remi, alone on the world). I hardly remember it anymore hehe. May have been the first anime I ever saw.

Ok guys, I just finished this anime, it's just awesome. Like Versaille No Bara (Lady Oscar), Remi, the Nobody's Boy or "Remi sans famille" in France, is a great adventure.
There are no concession, it's the difficult life of a boy who evolve so much during the show.

This show is fuc*ing dramatic but beautiful too. There are a lot of dramatic moments but the show is full of hope too. It's a show for kids and adults. It's this kind of show that kids must watch today, this is life: difficult moments, despair sometimes, hope, moments of cheerfulness, tears, smiles. We need this kind of show today. Remi was a kid and became an adult.

When you finished this anime, you are like: wow I just watch a memorable anime.

The music is good, perhaps a bit repetitive sometimes. Here the great song by Vitalis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wT4njF60764

It gives me so much emotion!

Graphics are old, but faces are so expressive! I cry so much when I watch this show! There are a lot of engaging characters like Remi, Vitalis, Barberin' mother, Miss Milligan.... Pets are cute especially Joli-coeur.
I love the chara design.

The story is good. You can say that there are too much coincidence, but it's really a great show. We travel a lot: Paris, London, Lyon...

So finally, I loved this show so much; like Lady Oscar.

PS: And it's an anime in France .

PS 2: I speak about Remi sans famille by Osamu Dezaki/Akio Sugino ha -_-
And I agree with this comment:

Quote:
the sufferings of Remi and his companions are powerfully portrayed, with many scenes of poverty and hardship.
Death of

I'm a new member too! This is a great coincidence. My girlfriend mentioned to me last night that Remi is her favourite anime. It's been almost impossible to find English subs for this series, and quite hard to find decent video.

I haven't been able to capture FLV video from ANN unfortunately, but no matter, because I found that Takara Fansubs is part-way through a complete rip of the R1 DVDs:

Woohoo!

I'm surprised to see a thread for this. This is one of the first anime I watch and a very memorable one . Ahh, now I feel very very nostalgic.

For anyone wondering, episodes 1-15 of the Dezaki version are being streamed on Anime News Network, and 5 new episodes will be added every Sunday. I love it so far!

Forgive me for double-posting, but...WHAT?!? Why doesn't ANN have episodes 26-30 of Nobody's Boy Remi up yet!? Today's Sunday and they usually have them up by now! Could something have gone wrong? What the flip!?

It's probably just a delay of some sort, it's still early morning on the US West Coast so give it another few hours before you really flip out.

I had seen the very good french dub of the series. Overall a good adaptation, in contrast to the free adaptation by nippon animation.
If you liked the series also check the adaptation of treasure island, also produced by tms and directed by Dezaki. The dvd features also a short interview with him.

Unfortunately theres a problem with ANN, like Crunchyroll, the stream of the site is only available to US territory.

I'm watching the series already and it's very good. Not only the story is strong, but Dezaki's directing at this period was at his peak. I'm loving every scene of it.
