There is no point in comparing, SAO is let's say, more WW compare to Index, SAO is sold in much more country while Index is mostly domestic.

With the upcoming release of Miki's interestingly titled book about being an Editor among other things, it looks like they have updated cumulative totals.

Index now sits at 15.80 Million.
Railgun is at 6.8 Million.

Anyone got the number for the first week of sales?

MAL usually posts it Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm already expecting less than usual because it launched with Mahouka...

I would hate that if Index sold less just because of Mahouka, because God Onii-sama and also some people bet putting out lies that he can destory the whole World, he does not have that kind of power.

It's just how it is. Mahouka is obviously more popular right now with the anime and media. People are likely to pick it up over NT14 in the first days/week. Of course, there's too many factors regarding buying habits.

Seems pretty similar to NT13 since most LNs are pretty front loaded in the first couple days, I'm glad there wasn't another drop.

NT14 can also be easily compared to NT12 since both of them had a 6 day first week. NT12 sold 89,471 in its first week.

NT13 was Jul 6 - 12, if it had been that same time frame, it would have likely sold 30k this month.

Considering it had to compete with Mahouka(even with the drop sti sells above 100k) it still did better than previous volumes.
