That's the thing. The OSCE has a high reputation for their election observers, and their observations are considered to be very credible. It's the very same reaction that happened in the past when the Red Cross was denied access to "terrorists" in Guantanamo: The officials are treating it as an OUTRAGE that outside observers want to check for crimes. We're the United States of America, for chrissakes. We're the GOOD guys, how can you DARE insinuate that something might be fishy here.
Then again, we know how the reality is. And then yet again, we know that the majority of American citizens don't care. So they get away with it. |

@queuing times to vote: here in Ireland, come vote day, I go down to my local school, get my ballot paper, fill it out, drop it in a box, and am out in 5 minutes.
Who needs machines? Also, I'm a bit pissed off cause I never got my absentee ballot in the mail. What gives? Maybe I needed to re-register or something... |

From the conventions to the eve of the final presidential debate, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have both received more negative than positive coverage from the news media, though overall Obama has had an edge, according to a new study.

Oh right. Right-wing Christians turned away and let this slide. It's all about the Republican Brand Name after all. Being Christian myself -- I've always found this position to be disappointing.

There's something wrong with their priorities (as if we didn't know that already) if they question why he wouldn't mind appearing with the President, but not a Governor who is merely running for President, during a national disaster.

It might be an old notion, but aren't members of the Church of Later Day Saints suppose to turn over something like 10% of their income to the Church? That way the LDS and community networks can fuction easily for those that don't make so much.
