Wonder how will the guards defend her from a sniper attack. A round from a .30 hunting rifle should be able to hit her from half-a-click.

I don't know what does "taking criticism" mean from her perspective when she is trampling on other people's right of privacy.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

The guy is a Republican than isn't a pro-Israel, right ?
I'll expect him to find heavy opposition, as most defense industries consider the IDF a very profitable customer.

Hagel nomination unnerves some in Israel
http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...01-07-16-55-56
Quote:
Hagel's positions on Israel's two most pressing foreign policy issues - Iran's nuclear program and relations with the Palestinians - appear to be at odds with the Israeli government, and critics here fear the appointment could increase pressure on the Jewish state to make unwanted concessions. The appointment could also signal further strains in what is already a cool relationship between President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is expected to win re-election later this month.

how much colder can Obama and Netanyahu's relationship get? Netanyahu all but endorse Rommy in the 2012 election.

To be fair, a lot of the info they posted is available off the electoral register etc., except the fact that they own guns.

Still an invasion of privacy though...

In India, questions over decision to treat rape victim overseas
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...90705Q20130108
Quote:
The decision to fly the victim of a gang rape that outraged India for treatment in Singapore made little medical sense as the woman was so severely injured that her death was all but inevitable, doctors say.

The government, on the back foot after furious street protests and stinging criticism of authorities over the December 16 rape in the capital, New Delhi, has struggled to defend its decision to send the 23-year-old physiotherapy student overseas. She died 48 hours later.

The PLAAF are still using those antiques (MiG-19s) instead of scrapping them?

Swiss court writes off family’s 655-year-old debt to church

Quote:
A Swiss court has wiped the slate clean for a farmer and his family, relieving them of an annual debt to a Catholic church dating back to 1357, Swiss public broadcaster RTS reported Tuesday.
The court in the northeastern canton of Glarus ruled that the farmer and his family no longer needed to pay some 70 Swiss francs (€58) a year to keep the sanctuary lamp of the Naefels Catholic church burning.

I posted it in the Silly News thread yesterday.

Yes. Utter garbage. Though I must admit that 14.5 percent interest rate is unusually high, but certainly it is better for the American people than a fine.

They need to get the fuck over themselves. 14.5% too high? Average citizen's interest rate is over 19%. God damn crooks.

You'd have to be pretty uninformed (or just stupid) to take a 19% interest loan. That thing would double every 4 years.

Average mortgage rate in Europe is about 4%, and on non-mortgage loans 6%.

You might get those kind of interest rates on a credit card, but not building up credit card debt is one of the most clichéd bits of financial advice out there.

Talking more about credit cards than loans, but still. These are companies that would've died without the loans, and they accepted. They knew full well what they were getting into.
