As a 31 y/o, to me the highschool years were the better years of my life. I may not have been loud and annoying like the Danshi Koukousei crew, but we were definitely not acting like the "tailored-for-fujoshi" folks of Kimi to Boku who, how do I put it, did not feel quite right to me. Random shit like accidentally having a buddy hit with a shovel, my first time being drunk (and I apparently tried to ride my friend's Husky like a horse), my first hangover, our Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2 games, our talks about porno movies and girls as if those were strange creatures from another planet, and much more that says "yeap, those were the best years of my life", when the world appeared LARGE and much simpler, when friendship between BROS meant a lifetime bond without any homosexual undertones and without the social conveniences forced upon us. I just would like to thank the executive dude at Sunrise who thought, "Maybe we can market THIS to the guys around". Because, really, how did other studios miss that? Seems like the second episode was slightly less entertaining than the first episode, possibly because I have already known what to expect and the surprise factor was gone.
However there were quite a few hilarious moments, and the ghost stories never cease to amuse. The ED was great though. |

Yeah, on the whole the segment's punchline/payoff is weaker than in the first ep, there's still some hilarious segments though. I like the first segment, it's really realistic to me. I've done dozens of time before too, goofing off with friends over something as innocuous as picking up a stick, but immediately stop and held our heads in embarrassment when we realize someone else is watching.
I also like the principal, seems pretty funny to me. The best part is definitely the ED though, I wonder if it's going to be animated, I really wonder what the context behind all those actions are...on the other hand, it may be funnier that way.

The original ED interests me a lot but the new ED isn't all that bad after a few listens. Maybe just that the new ED sounds really something that was scrapped together in the end.
Tadakuni imouto is rather interesting. Why is she always eavesdropping? |

Keeping my sanity in check, anyway. This series has become my white rice for my crazy lineup of shows I am watching this season. Having my fill of Nise, Rinne, Mouretsu, Shana, Another, ZnT, and other shows this shows provides some overall enjoyable, albeit generic, fun to my anime diet. Though literature girl's skits are probably my favorite.

Well ... I thought ep 2 was great.
This is absolutely crazy nonsense and I love it. I actually also like that the skits continue from the first ep. Although I must admit that my circle of friends didn't have the same obsession with underwear that these boys seem to have. Weird. Oh yes - 7.5/10 vote for ep 2 from me.

Oh man, I can't get enough of this anime. Whoever are the creaters are pure geniuses of comedy. I just love the characters and the way they always act something out.
The start had me laughing a lot when they pretended to be holding weapons etc, and then other members of their class did a similar thing with the same stick and when the girl walked past, they felt embarressed and humiliated XD I just LOVE, love love love love love the Literature Girl! She is so freaking awesome! I love the faces she makes and the moods she sets XD

I like the parts where they're just messing around. The parts where Tadakuni plays the straight man could use less yelling though. The first part in ep 2 had him constantly screaming. I definitely see the School Rumble influence. One of the classmates even looks like Harima sans shades!

Like others I thought the second episode wasn't quite as entertaining as the first, but a lot of that is probably because of how surprised I was by the first episode's humor. I really want to see more of Literature Girl, although if her entire schtick revolves around the riverbank at dusk then it's better to keep her to small doses. Also, is the fact we aren't shown Tadakuni's sister's eyes a running gag? At first I thought maybe all the girls in this would have their eyes shielded as a gag, but we've obviously seen Literature's Girl's eyes (I love the look she gets when she's happy/turned on ).
