if the next volume is about masuzu's family conclusion..

I think it will make masuzu's good end, if masuzu back to sweden then return to japan in the epilogue/very last chapter when eita has become a doctor and cured chiwa's body(while ai and hime have achieved their own succes)

in the last novel(I hope volume 8) I hope it makes the conclution in the beggining chapter then timeskips(when many years have passed since masuzu went back to sweden),then hime ai and chiwa will have their own final chapters in this volume and they had finnaly accepting masuzu with eita together after the timeskip, and finnaly the last chapter when masuzu(in searching for a suitable husband for natsukawa family) comes back to meet eita(who has been a great and successful doctor who made miracle in curing chiwa's body which the other doctors couldn't) and then it ends~, then the harem pattern can be maintained even in the last volume..with satisfying,clear ending (since masuzu's end is obvious since the beginning,even most of the novel's illustrations/pictures was all about her which can be taken as a sign)

Even though we like her/him and she can replace Chiwa anytime (our view), isn't it too late for her/him to enter the race?

I'd rather have a proper conclusion to the story instead of yet another girl to jump into the fray.

^Kaori has been there from the very beginning, though. Also, the idea that Kaoru wasn't a guy but a girl was also there early on.

I think development was really fun, but added a bit too late. I think that if the author wanted to have this, he should have done it before volume 4. Or, if he really wanted to fully introduce Kaori in the shuraba after volume 4, he should have given Kaoru a stronger presence in the story in the previous 3 volumes, so that when Kaori was formally introduced in this love battle royale, she would have stepped in as someone capable to disrupt the clear supremacy Masuzu and Chiwa had by the end of volume 4, and actually be a strong contender.

That said, introducing her after Masuzu and Eita's relationship was found out by Hime, and even worse, after the events of volume 6, I find it really hard to care about Kaori since at this point I'm already expecting a resolution to this romance comedy.

That said, I haven't read volume 6.5, so I don't know if Kaori was actually introduced to the harem. She could simply have been formally introduced as a girl, but has no romantic feelings toward Eita, and the whole thing was just a "yes, she's a girl".

The main girls of the story from here one are Masuzu and Chiwa... new add ons will only leave some bitter taste later on... no matter how much we like his/her character...

So, I basically have like, bookmarked the jwiki page for this series, and suddenly I felt like reading through it right now; and unlike most wiki page it has some plentiful lot of spoilers here and there and some details.

For Masuzu, pretty much everything that's explained there has already been already spoken about here (including the slight yandere vibes ), btw since she can't cook and lives alone, she survives thanks to Weider in jelly , CalorieMate and instant food. That diet had me rolfing

BTW, Kaoru's "official tale" is that he has a younger sister named Kaori; I'm not sure on how many people have caught on with the obvious fact. Kaoru's rank is among the top 20s.

So, if I may ask, between the Anime and Light Novel, did Eita actually date any of the girls for real and not fake and who, if any, is he dating now?

So Kaoru joins the fray? but I like the way they keep the girls into 4. The 4 girls had one in common being named after a season and adding another one will just destroy the chemistry. Stick the 4 and make it worth.

Considering that the Kaoru / Kaori deal was handled in an extra / side story volume (6.5), it's pretty safe to say that (s)he is pretty much out of the race, I doubt that Kaoru's role will get bigger in the main story that we have seen already (nice friend with some semi BL vibes now and then that Eita can't read in the least ).

In fact even if we get an harem ending, Kaori probably won't be included

For what we are told, they just decided to re-arrange a new life completely leaving behind their old life (aka, son and former couple). That's pretty cruel considered that it's hinted that they where high school sweethearts or even perhaps even older than that.

In the last episde of the anime they hinted that Karou was a guy cause s/he said he was jealous of the girls and laid his/her head on his shoulders, but told Ai s/he was not going to complete with her. So I am not sure if Karou is suppose to be a girl in the anime vs his sister that you mentioned in the LN.

Anyways I agree its a little late to introduce kaoru or kaouri as a girl.

Actually, the impression was that Kaoru was jealous of the girls of the club because they could freely pursue their romance (and with Eita ) while "he" could not due to his own circumstances.

Also, the fact that the told us an "alibi" about Kaori being Kaoru's imouto, that doesn't mean that Kaori & Kaoru are 2 different people (in fact, most clues point out the exact opposite).
