You know I don't honestly know what to hope for, be it Aikawa a girl or boy.
I do think I won't mind eitherway, all I really care about is Aikawa X Maki and since we're getting that and almost got it, I don't think I'd care what sex Aikawa is, hell Aikawa could be a alien and I'd probably be fine with it I guess reading all them gender bending stuff over the years has made more accepting of the whole thing, cause thinking back to my teenage years I would have thought it would be "disgusting" and would probably never have touched this series at all. Funny thing is I have no idea where or when abouts I started into the whole gender bending deal But I don't regret it, it can prove to be a good watch or read and provide some of the funniest laughs you find.

I have to agree with this. It could be a story about two non-gendered aliens and I would still like it. The question of whether or not Aikawa is a boy or a girl doesn't matter to me [since he looks like a girl ]. It just adds an extra dynamic to their interactions, in my opinion. I enjoy watching the teasing so I don't mind at all.

... I'm sorry to say this, but I find it somewhat disturbing that so many people want Aikawa to be a girl.
Do you guys mean that you want Aikawa to be a girl from his birth or a girl from his heart? Because those are completely different things. |

I'm not. Personally for me the paring of Aikawa and Maki is so damn adorable because they are the same gender. It's written so damn well, this chapter being a perfect example. As OceanBlue said, it adds so much to their interactions scenes that happen so often.
I guess another great factor to add is that Aikawa and Maki's scene this time around was more then just the general teasing that we're used to seeing. Signs of good pacing that is. There's no rush here.

Why would you even read this manga if you're hoping Aikawa is a girl? There's plenty of vanilla romances out there which will deliver this exact thing.
Besides, I direct you here: http://www.mangainn.com/mangas/1188/...1_00_39_41.jpg http://www.mangainn.com/mangas/1188/...1_00_39_41.jpg I don't see how you can see these pages and still hold on to a ray of hope that Aikawa is a girl. I also heard a rumor that the author specifically stated on twitter that Aikawa is not a girl, but, I don't have a source for that. Would be nice if somebody could confirm/deny. |

In fact, since he keeps asserting that he's a guy and therefore does not want to be referred to as a girl, I had to go over this post and change "she" to "he". But there's little point in the story for Aikawa to be a girl. And I really just want this to happen again. I think the teasing has gone down recently. http://www.batoto.net/read/_/188/pru..._by_no-group/3 (He looks more like a guy with his hair down, go figure.) Anyway, between Prunus Girl and Hourou Musuko I think I have all my genderbender bases covered. |
