The joint holding the wings and wing struts together (ABS rod in ABS socket) is loose. Use clear nail polish on the rod to widen it and tighten the joint.

Check out fichtenfoo's website. The site is all about modeling in general, with plenty of tutorials and tips suitable for beginners.

Just a quick question.
Do you guys normally cut all the parts from the runners and then start building the model or do you guys cut and build as you go while reading the instruction manual step-by-step? Just wondering.

I do it step by step. But still, I leave the assembled units as they are. Arms, legs, torso, head, packs. I don't attach them to each other until I don't put all the decals and don't do all the needed outline work.

I, too, follow the instructions step by step. I cut, sand, panel line(wash method), paint the part(s) if needed, and then build.

i follow instruction as well, but usually sand the neccessary part and out line the parts

just went to the hobby store, bought putty, primer, tape and couple bottles of paint.
suprisly they have few gunpla there, es-x, couple Hi Nu....
es-x was priced for 160 CND, but it has a 25% discount so about 120 CND, Hi Nu was 120 CND with 25% off...
I am thinking about geting a hi-nu and paint all the blue parts black, any suggestions?

This may or may not help some folks: http://www.gamerabaenre.com/toolsandtechs.htm
Some of the progress pages may be helpful too; as the same process is pretty much repeated for each build: http://www.gamerabaenre.com/in_progress.htm

Thanks for the tuts, gamera. I remember you and your awesome tutorials when I first started doing gunpla. You, fichtenfoo, tetsujin, and others were my hero. =)

passed down by a store. They are having a spring sale so some models had from 15 to 25% off. Grabbed a Freedom for 40 CND. I'm not afraid to say this is my favorite Gundam (even more than the SF) despite its pilot being GOD and stuff. SEED was ok for me lol, its sequel... not.
Maybe SRW@3 also has to do something since the Freedom was also an awesome unit jojo

Aside that, I will try to use the spare hands of the SF FB on this model since many reviews out there actually complain about that detail of the Freedom, not being able to hold properly its weapons mmm

Now Bandai, where's my MG Justice or Infinite Justice?

I just got myself a Master Grade Wing Gundam (Ka version)! The price after tax was 43 CDN. It's quite nice...

(I am already having fun with the parts that I got done in <2hrs. I think I might repaint them sometime in the future)

EDIT1: I actually would like some suggestions about painting the Gundam. I normally build scale model kits (such as that 1:350 torturefest Yamato ship), and I just rely on what Tamiya tells me goes best with to paint'em, which unfortunately wouldn't fly that well with Bandai recommendations. Does anyone have some tips regarding turning Bandai ref. colors to Tamiya ones and whether or not if I should even bother painting over the model? (I haven't apply any decal because of this concern)

Hey guys, I've just started Gunpla again after paused for some 8 years. Now I don't have any tools at all and when I did my first Gundam at that time I just pain black line and build OBB and that's it.

Now I want to get serious do all the painting layers, dry brush weathering and everything to make my Gundams look as nice as possible.

However I would want to have a comprehensive list of gunpla modeling tools. e.g. Paint Brush, compressor, model knife, cutter, nippers, paints, epoxy etc.

I just wanna buy them all at once and start doing it gradually. I do want to have all tools at disposal before I start building gundams as I study tutorials from internet.

Can anyone point me to any sites or list them out here? May be just the necessary main stuff that are essential, but detailed list always welcome.

I live in London and tools are really expensive. I was thinking of ordering buck of them from hobby site, at least they are much cheaper than from Hobby shop around here ( RARE AND EXPENSIVE )

Nadleeh's looking great; superb flexibility for a 1/144 HG. This is definitely a MUST for me. =)
