Anime Signature Request Thread [READ GUIDELINES]

Why is it that everyone (including myself apparently) was conveniently doing just two sig requests? For the most part, almost everything on that page was ice.Riel and Flow's requests!

Mr. Wang: Thank you for resizing the signature! I really thought it was AS safe..

Sworn to believe: I do my backgrounds by using textures. It's very easy to find beatiful textures / texture sites even via google, for example. After that it's just playing with layer options. Sorry that I can't advice better, I'm quite a beginner myself, too


Edit: okay, now I'm ashamed... I mixed up kB and KB. Thanks to Star-Wing for clear answer, though.

Dist: It seems that the size limit is 48.8 KB I thought it was 50 KB.

Yeah, its 50kB or nearly48.8KB. Both equal 50,000 bytes.

Edit: The image isn't lending itself well to a signature without looking kinda squished height-wise.
I'll have to probably cut off some of the bottom of the image is that ok?

Right, I slightly adjusted the second and third sig, but I couldn't decide which I liked better, so I put them both up. Quite frankly, I thought just a few of the notes looked out of place. So... if there's anything needed to be adjusted, let me know and I'll see what I can do... Geez, I need to call dibs in the future.

Due to the fact that Gimp lacks several of the superior qualities of photoshop, I find myself asking for a bit of assistance...

My current signature is a .gif as shown at the bottom of the post. I am irked by the jagged borders around the curves, an unfortunate setback of Gimp's properties. What I ask, is that can someone take this .png image right here, and change it to a .gif without the jagged borders?



Mind you, that there are tutorials, including those that deal with this problem, though are focused on Photoshop. None that I could find were focused on Gimp, so I'm hoping someone with Photoshop out there can help me on this.

Oh, and why do you want it in gif? Something I am missing here...?
(P.S: When you save it in gif (in GIMP), I remember seeing some 'matte' option. You need to change that to 'foreground color' before saving your pic in gif to avoid the pixelated borders. I uninstalled my GIMP, so I can't be more specific...)

Well, it's because it's the only way to save with transparency, plus PNG takes up way too many bytes. The image with .png is about 90,000 bytes, while the same image in GIF format is 38,000 bytes. I use GIF for transparent stuff for the sake of keeping it within Animesuki's limits.

Ok, I get it now, thx and you're welcome (I sent you a pm...I am not sure abt this reputation stuff).

And I have a question for all C4D users. In some C4D renders that I have, the bg is black instead of transparent. How do I use those? I know I can invert them, but still, I want the bg to be transparent. Anyway around that that anyone knows?

p/s: In my Sign, I add a lot of C4Ds with the background is black and use blend mode screen, lighten,... to make the sign look better :">
