I'm guessing he's talking about ImageReady...or he must be REALLY lazy.

Anyways, for ImageReady just create a transparent layer on top of all your layers. Then, make sure this layer shows up in every frame of the animation. Select the entire layer and stroke inside however many pixels you want with whatever color; it's that simple.

Just wondering why mostly my avvy size more than 50kb...

how to reduce size of an avvy other than deleting frame, resize pixel... as long the pic still beautiful and clear(last choice is using lossless option...)

Reduce color; most of the time you only need around 32~64 colors unless the scene is VERY colorful.

Your current avatar shows of a lot of junk frames,.. where you only require two frames with set frame delays to yield the same results. And if the background of the character doesn't change, use No Color Dithering with Frame Combine method to help reduce file size.

Delete some in between frames,.. be that odd or even. .

Example:

Though the way I had set it, it will probably run slower on Internet Explorer.

Delete duplicate frames and lower the frame rates.

Ummm what do you mean? If you have the same frame repeated and each frame rate is set as 0 (no delay), it WILL be double the time as would a single frame with 0 frame rate...so first you make sure you only have one of each frame, and THEN you edit the frame rates.

Duplicate frame == large files unless you use some of the techniques Green mentioned, but it's simply easier just to set the frame rate longer.

I use ImageReady primarily, but something I use Animation Shop for quick edits.

Your color is set at 16 which is VERY low. Also, change reduction to something other than 'custom'...I usually use 'perceptual'

Animations and GIF files.

Well i've seen a lot of people with moving avatars on here, so i figure i should try asking some of my flash related problems here. Well as far as i know to make a file that has animation you need to save it as a GIF file. Now to create animation you can use a number of softwares. I chose to use Flash MX 04. After creating my animation and publishing it as a GIF, i can't seem to save it so it retain it's proper colours.

Can anyone help me? What i basically want to do is:

-Create animation in flash (for avatar etc...)
-Save it as GIF (with looping animation)
-And upload (use etc)

Except when i create it and i publish it as a gif, the colours get reverted to really bad colours. I wish someone could help me with this problem because i'm stumped.
