When I see the scaled down PSP graphics I'm really sad that they don't release it on PS3 or Xbox 360 -_-. However I will preorder the game nevertheless because VC1 is probably my favorite game of this console generation and I just hope that they will do another sequel for the 360/PS3. I hope that VC2 also includes the Japanese speech like in VC1.

It won't - not from the get-go, at least. UMDs are much smaller than DVDs in terms of storage size. The original JPN voice acting might be DLC, though.

Even worse.

Though, I must say, the English voice acting for VC was really good, and I don't see VCII's being bad.

No, I meant DVD. Those are smaller than Blurays.

The only qualm I've seen with VC2's English VAs thus far is that Avan sounds too young.

I meant that the difference between a blu-ray (VCI) and a UMD (VCII) is even bigger than you were implying.

Wikipedia says about UMD:
Maximum capacity: 1.80 GB (dual layer), 900 MB (single-layer)

The Japanese Isos seem to be about ~1GB, so there should be enough space for a second language if they really want this. Some other PSP games also had an Japanese track, for example Riviera and Disgaea.

This is true, and I have played it, and this was a mistake, as Aug 31 feels further away now.

It plays pretty well. The only real differences that are caused by the system swap seem to be smaller (but mitigated by areas) maps and less pretty graphics. While both are really disappointing, neither affect gameplay, which was always the most important part.

I can't wait. Dammit.

Well, we're halfway through the month. Chances are Aug 31st is the ship date, it won't hit shelves until September 1st, if I remember Red Alert 3's release back in October 2008.

I'll have to consult Gamestop (who I preordered from) about it.

English dub only. The PSP cartridges don't have the capacity to hold dual audio for VC2, considering everything else that's in it.
