Played Touhou Mahjong with AIs in a "skill" map. They are freaking monsters. Wait on a single wind tile with a chitoitsu hand. I get ronned off even if there are (example) 2 chuns outside. These AIs really worth my time.(Though Flandre's skill make me get double Yakuman with all word tiles and 4 triplets of wind tiles.)

Touhou Unreal Mahjong Eh? I beated all story mode once.

I just replayed it today and I just can't get pass third match of Hakurei shrine (The match with Youmu, Eilin, and Sakuya) so I quited only to remembered that I have to play at the beginnig again - -'' (I still wonder how did I play it up to Twilight bar stage back then.

Touhou Unreal Mahjong is one of the best mahjong game that give you the feeling of Hax mahjong in Saki with all those abilities.

Which one did you play? 1,2 or 3rd generation? 3rd generation doesn't seems to let me play its story mode without entering the key , and the second doesn't let me install with the message "Incorrect Parameter". So, I only play the first one.

3rd generation... If you want to get more characters and more maps, get more stars(Through clearing of specific requirements.), then go to reports(Results). Next, go to unlock. You will see the characters and maps there... Choose which one you want to unlock, then the map and the characters will be unlocked.(Note: You need to get a minimum requirement of stars needed to unlock at least 1 touhou series of your choice.)

Usually you should start with training mode(easy). Pretty sure it has giveaway questions.(Easy mode: All hands are in Tenpai, guess what it is waiting on. Normal mode: Tad bit harder, but still manageable.(My bro done normal already. Hard mode: Possibility of noten. Lunatic: Unless you are Teru's level, I don't think you can guess what tile is the opponent waiting on.)

Sigh .. I'm bored. Woke up to check on the latest Saki episode only to remember that its cancelled. Then, rewatched S1 again ...

Anyway, after watching the original anime, I've come to the conclusion that Nagano prefecture is filled with monsters. Heck, the national teams that Achiga fought presently (except Senriyama) will get trounced by any of the finalist team in Nagano.

So I've been thinking since Achiga is supposed to meet the remaining Nagano team on the next episode where do they're team stand vs. the Nagano teams?

Note: The strength of the Nagano teams are their strength at the prefecture tournament. No manga spoilers its just to save space.

Spoiler for Achiga vs. Ryuumonbuchi:

Well, I'll start with this considering it already happened.

Kuro vs. Jun Oh... Kuro is dead. Jun is very good at blocking people and countering them . I'm sure Kuro is going to have a hard time forming hands with Jun around.

Yuu vs. Tomoki Finally, a match wherein Achiga got an advantage. Tomoki is an analyzing type like Senriyama's first year but Yuu got the better of that duel. Yuu has the advantage.

Ako vs. Hajime - Hard to say... Hajime seemed to have an explosive style like Cela but perhaps a bit weaker. Ako is fast and have a good flow intuition.
More or less a draw?

Arata vs. Touka - Using the strength that Touka showed in the prefecture tournament they're more or less even with the advantage to Touka. This is because Touka has an explosive power combined with solid defense when she's not fighting Momo or Kaori.

Shizuno vs. Koromo - Curb-stomp battle. Koromo wins even at less than half power.

So no one should contest this, its even canon... Ryuumonbuchi win

Spoiler for Achiga vs. Kiyosumi:

So how does Achiga stacks with their supposedly fated rival, Kiyosumi?

Kuro vs. Yuuki
Its going to be a very explosive round especially in the East Wind. Both players have the strong offense and weak defense. But, Yuuki may get pounded when it comes to the South Wind. So Kuro wins.

Of course, if Yuuki knows about Kuro's gameplay then Yuuki wins. Kuro is easy to defend against especially since she can't discard dora and her favorite yaku is toitoi.

Yuu vs. Mako
Mako has a bane against non-logical plays like Yuu. This match has Yuu advantage.

Ako vs. Hisa
Ako might be able to get a few cheap wins. But, I wonder if she can fight Hisa. Hisa has mind games and hell waits. Hisa has the advantage for me here. Sorry Ako.

Arata vs. Nodoka
Arata's play is unclear. But, Nodoka in Nodochi mode is scary. 100% efficiency playstyle like a computer so unless Nodoka suffers bad luck she'll win.

Shizuno vs. Saki
Sigh... Assuming that Saki is at full power unless Shizuno learns a new ability beside despair-shield Saki will win. Koromo (full moon) and Saki( motivated) are more or less even with each other and Shizuno got destroyed by Koromo at less than half power. Saki will win this.

Looking at the matches breakdown Kiyosumi will win against Achiga. Anyway, even if Achiga somehow managed to win the matches at the beginning they're going to have trouble in the later rounds starting at the lieutenant match with Hisa. And if for some reason, they managed to hold onto the lead, the taisho of Kiyosumi is Saki. I'm sure Saki will be able to close any gap in points easily.

So conclusion, Kiyosumi win.

Spoiler for Achiga vs. Tsuruga:

Now lets look at the harder to judge one.

Kuro vs. Mutsuki
This once again depends if Mutsuki has Kuro's data. If not, Kuro wins by a landslide. If yes, Mutsuki will manage to minimize point loss but I doubt she'll win against Kuro much. Its a toss up if they manage to figure out Kuro's playstyle, but I'll give Kuro the advantage even then.

Yuu vs. Kaori
Well, this match depends on luck more than usual. If Kaori did not make any accidental yakuman then Yuu wins. If Kaori's beginner luck activates, Kaori wins.

Ako vs. Kanbara
Kanbara is actually a good solid player. But, I'll give Ako the advantage on this one cause she might be able to blitz Kanbara.

Arata vs. Momo
Oh this one is easy. Momo's stealth mode is godly and she has a solid play besides. Momo advantage easily.

Shizuno vs. Yumi
Sigh... unfortunately for you Shizuno. I think Yumi's playstyle is more solid than yours and Yumi's tactics are great if she is in a pinch situation. Yumi advantage.

I think a Achiga vs. Tsuruga depends on some things.
= If Kuro will be able to get a nice lead on the vanguard match.
= If Kaori's beginner luck activates.

Achiga wins if they are able to get a sizable lead on the vanguard match like they did on Bansei. If this happens they have a good chance of beating Tsuruga even with Momo and Yumi if they play defensively and cheaply.

If Achiga did not get a sizable lead on the vanguard match or even if they did, Kaori somehow got a yakuman hand in the lieutenant match. They're screwed when it comes to the vice-captain and captain matches.

Achiga vs. Tsuruga is more or less even. But, if I have to choose its Tsuruga.
I think in 10 matches with each other Tsuruga will win an average of 7 times to Achiga's 3 times. Especially since the more match they play, Kuro's weakspot could easily be spotted.

Spoiler for Achiga vs. Kazekoshi:

Kuro vs. Mihoko
Another Kuro is dead scenario. Mihoko is very good at targeting people like Toki. I expect a large lead for Kazekoshi in this round.

Yuu vs. Miharu
Miharu is a good defender. Even with Kaori's Yakuman she managed to keep her cool. I think this match is more or less even with Yuu advantage.

Ako vs. Bundou
Well at least Bundou will do better here than against Hisa. But, its Ako's advantage.

Arata vs. Sumiyo
Sigh... all I know is Sumiyo is a good digital player. But, I think its Arata's advantage.

Shizuno vs. Kana
Hard to tell. Both are determinators, but Kana's ability to get really high scoring hand could be Shizuno's undoing.

So Achiga vs. Kazekoshi is also more or less even with each other. Achiga's win depends if they will be able to chip away Kazekoshi's lead that Mihoko will inevitably bring in the middle matches. Then, its all on Shizuno vs. Kana match.

I think this match is more or less 50-50.

Spoiler for Summary:

So in ten matches, if Achiga fought the Nagano teams... Assuming everyone is in peak condition.

Achiga-Kazekoshi : 5-5 Evenly matched.

Achiga-Tsuruga : 3-7 Achiga can beat Tsuruga but most of the time Tsuruga will beat them.

Achiga-Ryuumonbuchi : 0-10 Can't beat Ryuumonbuchi

Achiga-Kiyosumi : 0-10 Same as Ryuumonbuchi. No way in hell.

Actually, Cold Touka curb stomped Saki, Koromo, as well as Fujita IIRC.

You forgot to consider that the situation will be different when all 4 schools are together. A player that have adventage/disadventage in 1-1 battle with someone may find herself have adventage/disadventage with other two players in 4 player game.

For example: Saki can destroy Kana in 1-1 but then there are Yumi (who like to chan-kan her) and Koromo at the table. That make Saki can't just focus on kana alone. And Kana who was the weakest player at the table can break Korono "no-tempai zone" AOE abiility and get a Yakuman when Koromo was "busy" with Saki.

So, I would say that final round will be pretty interesting even though one team may weaker than other 3.

As for on 1-1

Achiga vs. Kiyosumi

- No comment on 1st and 2nd player match

- Ako will prove to be a challange for Hisa because ...
1.) Hell wait only have effect when Hisa is in Tempai. If Ako and her qiuck play can get in tempai and win before Hisa is in tempai, Hell wait will be completely useless. (This is also true for Momo ability, If you can get in tempai and win before she is in tempai, you don't have to worry about getting Ron by the invisible player.)
2) Ako can read the flow of game very well while we don't know how good is she. It should be a good mind battle betwenn Ako and Hisa.Hisa can play normally with no hell wait but that just make Ako play easier.
3) Ako is quite smart if she read Hisa match record, she should know what Hisa can do and prepare for it. Hisa can read Ako match record too but, I don't think you can find many ways to counter fast playstyl other than just win before that person.

Let's wait and see.

- Nodoka and Arata...........Let's me see what Arata can do first. Acutally, I still wonder how does Digital mode make Nodoka stronger than her normal mode....She looks more like pure skill player than ability user.

- Shizuno vs Saki ......Saki wins for sure but like I said at the begining, Shizu's presence at the table may make the game in final round more unpredictable. Don't forget that Shizuno have very strong mental health and very high determination. (even more than Kana) She will keep fighting untill the end of game.

Senriyama could easily match up against the Nagano teams. Just imagine Toki vs Kyaputen.

Can imagine how the fight will go out. Since Kyaputen can read people's wait and tell which tiles are dangerous and Toki's riichi ippatsu tsumo, we can see a fight there.

@Marina2: Look at my post on how to unlock characters in touhou mahjong 3d. There are no story modes for 3d.

Of course, like what Sentinel said, Kuro's ability seems bugged and filled with holes that can be easily read by enemies.(But there are many ways to make use of that skill efficiently, say, you have many doras on your hand. Usually if its an ankou, she will kan with the other being a dora which has an anko already. Which you know what will happen to the last dora if all kan'd. Since all doras go to her, tsuu kan tsu may be possible, if she rinshan kaiho, no one knows what will happen to Teru later.(Knowing thats Saki's style.))
