I have no clue as to how official this is. It's very possible that all that the video is is some image cutting and pasting and inserting background music. I liked the picture though.

This is a somewhat poorly-translated version of Minori Chihara's blog (you can switch it back to the original Japanese if you prefer). Today she went with the rest of the Brigade for a photo shoot at the actual North High School in Nishinomiya (near Kobe). Of course she also visited Yuki's apartment.

Yeah, I do like following Minorin. She's pretty different from Yuki of course, but she's oh-so-lovably ditzy, effervescent, and down-to-earth. Her ditzy reputation is famous, but she can play the guitar at least, which is something I can't say for myself.

I find it kinda hilarious that the VAs are almost polar opposites of their characters. Yuki's VA is ditzy, and Mikuru's VA is a Biker Chick and Fist of the North Star fangirl.

Old news. That's the original announcement that aired after the last Sigh episode, so yes, it is official. There are also two official teasers with actual movie footage in them since then. Both should have multiple links each over the last several pages.

It appears that there was NOT a surprise screening of the movie today in Japan. Someone from 2chan posted this shot of the movie an altered image and I fell victim to thinking it was a shot of the movie.

It very well could be photoshopped. I'll do more research tonight and edit it out until further evidence reveals one way or the other.

Edit: After further review, I do believe it is likely an altered image. I apologize for posting an image that was not news. Sorry for getting peoples hopes up.

Considering that the hats are completely without shading, I'm thinking that your friend is right about it being photoshop'd. Not sure about it being from the "second season," but I didn't pay much attention to that.

Interesting subtle change on the official movie webpage. Instead of listing the movie as going for 150 minutes like it had been, now the duration is 2 hours, 42 minutes and 53 seconds. What will the extra 12 minutes and 53 seconds entail?!

Even with the inevitable five-six minutes of opening/ending credits, that's over SEVEN EPISODES of material.

What in God's name are the planning to do with this? Maybe the beginning will be a sort of character reintroduction... but even then, Disappearance really isn't long enough, like we've been saying for a while...

Are they serious, or just trolling?

Now this movie is just 7 minutes shorter than Avatar, and that was one of the longest movies I've ever watched. I read the novel and admittedly, it was interesting and was of great length, I don't think it's able to reach this long. Even the previously announced time of 150 minutes had us discussing about what KyoAni was up to.

Maybe they'll be increasing the amount of character interaction scenes, to give new viewers an understanding of the characters, and to increase the strength of the impact at the end. Then again, them being KyoAni, the 12 minutes might just be the characters displaying commercials for their sponsors, just like in The Adventures of Asahina Mikuru
